Eight years ago, Stephen Colbert had Jon Batiste on his Comedy Central show. After that one interview, which was their first ever meeting, Stephen told him, "If I ever need an in-house band, you are the first person I'm calling." He was true to his word, and it's easy to see why.

This interview was a JOY to watch. When Jon said, "There is a joy to living. Find the joy in living." I looked over at my young husband who had Dementia and Parkinisms. How he went undiagnosed and the stress of not knowing what was wrong. Now totally disabled and I take care of him. It is hard., but I made us a delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I fed him, and ate my half of one next. Next to him. It was a simple Joy in our 31 yrs of marriage. 🌼💖🌼💖

May I ask what the symptoms were? My soulmate of 40 years went from the kindest, most loving and giving man I could ever imagine to a hateful, spiteful, deliberately hurtful person basically overnight. He suddenly, out of the blue, with no warning at all, abandoned me, and filed for divorce the day after our 39th anniversary. Even our adult sons thought he needed a brain scan to see if he's got a tumor or something. That's how drastic a change that's come over him. As much as I can't stop loving him, it's like I don't even know him any more.
