I was one of the first two or three people to hear this track, and before it got merged with video. At that time I recall that it wasn’t so much ‘leaked’ in the usual understanding of the word, but more that it was discovered by an inquisitive fan who happened upon it whilst navigating a relevant, perhaps insecure, server. There was an agreement not to post it for a while, but the floodgate had to open eventually.

I know. This song was briefly heard on KZbin. I wanted to download it and an hour later it was gone again. I was sad and thought why was he taken down? But then a while later he was up again, but not for long. Luckily it is now available again. For me one of Angelina's most mature songs.

This is not entirely accurate. She did make a demo but not for Baby Fuzz. He already made a demo himself. I have been looking into the origins and came across two sources: an interview with Baby Fuzz and comments by Baby Fuzz at the lyrics of the song. So according to Baby Fuzz himself the summary about this song are like this: - Baby Fuzz wrote this song with the help of others during a master class camp on song writing - Those others worked with Angelina on her original Shield - Baby Fuzz decided he wanted to sell the song so that someone else would use to release a song - For that purpose he made a demo - That demo was distributed but it didn’t lead to a sale - Baby Fuzz decided to release it himself anyway and made the version he released - Baby Fuzz stated he never had contact with Angelina’s team nor did he hear her version before making his released version. Here comes the speculation part: - the people Angelina worked on Shield with, brought the demo Baby Fuzz made with them to Angelina - Angelina gave it a spin, this leaked recording, and she decided not pursue it any further - Angelina’s version was leaked and with added video was published on KZbin For the timelines, Angelina’s cover was leaked a little over a month before Baby Fuzz released his original. That is of course curious that the cover was released before the original, but the above makes clear how that happened. Some people have different stories but those usually only work if Baby Fuzz has told several lies. I cannot exclude that possibility, but I do not see a reason for him to do so.

@@pietersbart Baby Fuzz can tell how many times he will that he never had heard Angelina's version (her demo),before releasing his socalled original,because that cannot be the total truth.His original of today is nearly in every way like Angelina's,and it was released one month after Angelina's version,the only problem with that "truth" is,that in an review of this Angelina's masterpiece,the reviewer showed a bit of what he called Baby Fuzz original,and that version was awful and sounded notthing like Angelina's version,so for me its looks like he had heard Angelina's version and after he realised how much better Angelina's version was, removed his first version and released a new version and called it his original,and that "original"follow Angelina's version,and is a nice bit of work,but Angelina's version is in every way better,but because i have heard an earlier awful version by Baby Fuzz,a version that was notthing like Angelina's version and then he has released a version that is nearly a copy of Angelina's version and call it his original,and then try to tell that he had never heard Angelina's demo before his socalled original,I don't buy that 'truth".

One particular 'trick' she does with her voice is when she builds up and you expect a big note, but instead she draws back a little, goes softer and breathier, and it takes the emotion that's been building up and draws you in to where the emotion is rather than have it blasted out to you. If that makes sense. Thank you for pointing out those little subtle nuances which do indeed giver her voice that rich texture.

Truly an incredibly insightful reaction! I appreciate the specificity about the subtleties. I would like to mention something I feel should be addressed not just her raw talent and outstanding delivery, but her built in purity of intent. It exudes from her like beams of sunlight! Is it just me? This song displays how she can make you feel emotions exceptionally well. But this purity seems to emanate in everything she does. From her story about why she sings barefoot to her adorable smile & wave, her curtsy after a performance, and yes her amazing vocals that are absolutely moving and convey emotions so completely that it brings tears to many adoring eyes and make our days so much better. I hope she knows that she is actually making the world a better place. I’m an old guy now, in my line of work I have spoken with literally thousands of humans of all ages, all walks of life one on one. I have a pretty good idea of what humans are about. And In my humble opinion… I believe that this exceptional human is one of the best among us. The pure good intent, kindness, and love she projects, is noticed and appreciated. Thanks, sweet reaction. IMHO this soundtrack captures the best of Angelina's influences: soul, jazz, blues and pop. Angelina recorded the soundtrack in 2016 and the video was added, and LEAKED, by unknown third party(s) in November 2018. Written by Baby Fuzz (and collaborators) in 2016 in Oslo, Norway, Baby Fuzz sent the song to several singers in an attempt to obtain a demo, which he hoped would convince a well known artist to record and release it. By December 2018 he found no interest and recorded and released his own video. Angelina's family has never released their reasons for not publishing the soundtrack. The mystery only adds to the song's mystic.

I don't think you should be surprised each time to react to a new Angelina masterpiece. I think "dazzled" would be a better choice. I had the pleasure of flying to Norway twice back in July to see her at Kurbadhagen. So emotional, even she cried at one point. To top it off, I got to spend time with Angelina and her mom after both concerts. I was holding her hands while we spoke. She gave me the flowers she was holding

Great reaction, Jeff. I have seen countless reactors and commentors ask how? How can this girl make me feel all the emotions of a song and the story behind it like no one I have heard? You just explained it in a tangible way that makes sense to me. I think her sincerity and respect for the song, and music in general, is part of the equation as well. What a wonderful commentary! Really! I understood all the points you raised but I'd like to expand on one of your thoughts. You told us that artists listen to all the greats and 'learn' from them. To hear how they sing with emotion and figuratively touch their listeners. Of course that makes a lot of sense and I'm sure those artists do. And that includes Angelina. But now comes the interesting part. Angelina has had that capability since she was 7 years old and even while her voice is changing because of her age that ability to move her audience to tears has never left her. I believe she is well schooled in music and many people regard her as a musical genius already at her young age. And, along with that it is impossible not to include what a beautiful human being she is. She possesses a loving soul and when she sings for us we hear the sound of love coming from deep within her. It is something that cannot be taught or manufactured. It has to be the real thing. Often times the subject matter of a song (like this one) contains lyrics which are so profound or very particular in nature that we literally can't believe how emotional she makes us feel as we listen to her sing if, in fact, it's impossible that she could have experienced those tender moments. I believe she looks at the lyrics of any song she is considering to sing and finds the love in the song. She is all about love and knows in every human situation you can always find love and, so, when she sings for us we are listening to the love she feels in the song and it is very genuine. To me, she is a Messenger of Love.

@@alberttenfoot Albert, good to hear from you. I've used the phrase many, many times and I admit I do it carefully for two reasons. I don't want people to believe I'm putting pressure on Angelina to be someone she is not. I'm using the words in a most general sense. Angelina is a young girl, a wonderful young girl with a voice for the ages which touches our hearts. But, she is a young girl, too, in every way and I believe all of us continue to watch her grow and literally pray for her well being. When she sings she goes off to somewhere else (she's told us that) and that's when our contact with her changes and we become frozen in delight with love all aglow. How is it possible to not recognize she is, indeed, a Messenger of Love. The other reason is to not elevate Angelina's mystique to a level whereby the deeply religious audience believes I'm suggesting Angelina is representing someone and something that is far beyond her. As I said, she is all about love and I use the phrase strictly in that context. Albert, I'll tell you a secret (don't tell anyone 🙂), I've made up some tee shirts with that phrase on them.

Great reaction. Absolutely right. Angelina does bring out emotions in her singing but would also add that she personally is feeling those emotions or living the song and I believe that those emotions drive how she sings a song. Know she has been doing these technical things since she was young but believe it is often times innate. This along with her exceptional vocal ability is why she was a prodigy and will hopefully obtain international acclaim as an adult.

Angelina was 10 years old when she recorded this demo. It may have remained hidden in the shadows had it not been released by someone who heard the track. Baby FuzZ is the owner, but he's a pale comparison to Angelina when performing his song.

What an amazing break down & analysis of (10) Angie. Thank you. Here's the story about the song. Please read. This was recorded when Angie was 10 almost 11 (it was used as a demo).The rumor was her mom (Sara) didn't like the suicide content references in the song so it was never released. This song is by Brandon Lowry better known as Sterling Fox & aka Baby Fuzz & co-writers Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen (& they have worked with Angie before). Baby fuzz did this during a music workshop back in 2016 in Norway, (for Angie is kind of like friends with Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen & they all know each other. For like I said they have worked together before, this is how Angie might of got the song for they were all at said work shop at different times) Here’s a little bit of what BF said about the song: “Now I’m super happy nobody else took it, because it feels 100% honest to what I was feeling at that time. A fun line in the second verse deals with impulsive swiping of potential Tinder matches. It’s not even to find someone to match with. It’s just a cyclical behavior of rejecting others in an attempt to affirm an old flame that will never work. It’s actually the whole idea of the song… I’m just delusionally holding out in some monk-like vow of abstinence and loyalty that is incredibly self-destructive”-BF (No one was interested at the time) then Angie did the demo of it in 2016 & it was leaked 2 years later in Nov 2018. (He wont change the lyrics to the song or let others do so). It's funny he released it as an original in Dec 2018 a month after Angie's was leaked (Even though he never knew about it yet). When so many listen to this & Baby Fuzz's version (here’s the link) kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2arpHR4iJmCjrM (Even BF really liked Angie's version of it when he saw it later in 2020.) but some fans still all think this should be her's for it sound much better & convey's the story better. Brandon Lowery is a good writer & it shows in this song. His version is also good. There's one thing I can't help but wonder about: why NO ONE has EVER mentioned, after all these years of listening to this cover, that the lyrics show "Couldn't even face me...". But, every time I listen, it sounds to me like she's CLEARLY singing ,"Couldn't even faze me..."! Just sayin' because it bugs me when the lyrics included in the video are incorrect. Had her mom allowed this demo to be released, Angelina would have had a song that rocketed to the top of the charts. It is different than anything else she has ever done, and that is really saying something when you realize all she accomplished prior to this masterpiece. It's never been confirmed as to why the song wasn't allowed to go forward but there is a section in the end portion that alludes to a drowning suicide and know her Mom Sara, as well as her young age at the time, I believe Sara didn't feel it was appropriate.

Yes, she is a gifted performer and her voice is maturing into a true torch singer and is becoming more Adele-like. Would enjoy seeing her tackle a Marianne Faithfull song (another albeit semi torch singer) like "The Ballad of Lucy Jordan" which takes so much finesse and breath control. I know that I make some frenemies with this post but believe this young lady has a lot of growth to do before she either hurts her cords or gets too big for her to handle. As a performance psychologist, I lost great young athletes because they thought they had complete control until they faded away because of outsider push or undeveloped ego (helicopter parents don't help either). Peter Having spent my career focusing on the optimization of human performance in both the corporate world and private practice, I could write a tome explaining a myriad of reasons why you needn't worry about Angelina. But I'll keep it simple and cite just a few factors which favour a relatively smooth and successful trajectory towards stardom for her.....Angelina has an incredibly loving and supportive family who have been prudently guiding her career. The priorities have been for her to have as normal a childhood as possible and to complete her education. Career-wise they have turned down more than 90% of the offers they have received for her to perform, interview, record, etc. When she finally signed with a record label in 2020, it was stipulated that she retain complete artistic freedom and control and promotion of her would wait until she graduated from school. Although, since she was a toddler, with it widely being acknowledged that she is once-in-a-lifetime musical genius, and despite being the recipient of gushing praise from industry heavyweights and stunning acccolades from just about everyone who has heard her sing, Angelina still remains exceptionally modest and humble. The health of her ego is probably off the charts. Her commitment to humanitarian causes and philanthropic goals is remarkable; for instance, she's been spotted feeding the homeless on occasion in L.A. Most of her public performances were for charity events. She paints, writes (Norway's youngest published author), designs and sews some of her clothes and provides creative input to her videos. Her raison d'etre is to spread love around the world through her music.....So her interests are varied, she has a solid and secure support system, a commitment to excellence, unbelievable patience, uncommon humility and an extraordinary psychological balance......What me worry?

Perhaps biased over nearly 40 years of practice with high performance athletes and other gifted individuals. She achieved so much fame at such an early age which always makes me wince since I have witnessed so many flame outs. I'not sure of the "other gifted individuals" you referenced, but I can confidently state that gifted athletes are a much different kettle of fish that musical prodigies. For one thing, there's the fierce competition and the pressures that come with being an athlete. Another, is the finiteness of their career and how fleeting it can be....The other thing I should add is the fact that Angelina was brought up in Norway which, I believe, has had a profound effect on shaping the special person she has become....By all means we can stay in touch; I'm quite open to it. And if necessary we could move to another platform. Dinasaurs have lots of free time on their hands! Speaking of which, with almost 40 years of experience, I would think you're old enough to have picked up on the last line of my comment. Did you? ;-)

This for me is definitely one of her covers (but can they be called covers, interpretations of this type?) more exemplary than her, she has made a really fantastic version of this song, with superb changes of register and tone. The final judgment is given by the numbers of views of a 10-year-old girl's version against that of an established professional like Baby FuzZ... 💛 🧡 ❤

Angelina has been an influence on other musicians since she was younger. Nico Cartosio wrote an instrumental album where the only vocalist was Angelina at the finale. I'm still holding out for you song written by Brandon Lowry, "also goes by Baby Fuzz," Ronny Janssen and Frida Amundsen went to 10-year-old Angelina with it and Angelina made this audio demo cut but rumor is Angelina's mother didn't like the ending lyrics referencing suicide and the demo cut was not released. Later the demo was pirated from Angelina's pictures were added and put online at the same time the song was released by Baby Fuzz causing some confusion but rumor has it that all parties agreed to leave Angelina's pirated cut on U-tube.
