Haken are what I like to refer to as "Feel Masters" they are master musicians/ composers but their specialty is being able to explore so many different motifs and phrasings within their songs , that is to say, they're basically Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen: "I Wish You Could Percieve Time As I Do"

Their whole "The Mountain" album is worth going through - there's not one bad track on it; it's a masterpiece. Spotted the Arch Echo book on your keyboard's music stand in the background - another band I don't hear enough about!

Mate, I love these guys so much, been listening to them since their demo they sent me in 2008 - it’s an interesting story involving Myspace, of all things 😂 They’re close friends with the dudes from Dream Theater, they don’t mess about, are ungodly talented and have their moments where they can pull at your heartstrings. The musicianship is off the charts! 🤩 P.s. RED tshirt!!! 👁️

I suggest you react to the Haken song "Messiah Complex" - it's very good - it's in 5 or 6 or 7 parts but it's all one song.

Messiah Complex is ridiculously good, but… It really requires prior knowledge of The Cockroach King as it brings back melodies and motifs. They basically went Metropolis -> Scenes From a Memory on our a** with Cockroach King and Vector -> Virus (Messiah Complex) 😂

I think your next Haken song should be their song 1985. You will get a kick out of it, because they use a lot of 80's synths, the cliche 80's prog/jazz corny drum sounds, and even the guitar lines are very 80's YES and Rush. This band is always evolving, and unpredictable from album to album, and is really carrying the torch as the "new Dream Theater" on the scene.

There's an incredibly underrated artist called SKEB that I would love for you to react to! He just uploaded an amazing cover of "Fix You" by Coldplay, with a music video. That would be a great first reaction, and an original song of his (audio only) that I would love if you reacted to is called "Brachistochrone"!
