Great reaction. I was hoping that you'd react to some songs from this show. I love early Rammstein.

One of the very few songs by Rammstein to be in the major key. Such an interesting contrast of chorus and verses. Thank you for this video Jim! I loved your dissection of the song and instrumentation. I've noticed as you've grown your videos are getting longer and I'm loving it. Really exploring the music is a wonderful thing to see. Glad you enjoyed it!

Superb again! Also love the keyboards on this one :-) Flake is just brilliant in everything he does! This was definitely early-Till as regards vocals too. He always sounded great and his vocals have aged like a fine wine.

RammWiki uploaded a really good copy (for 1996) of this concert a month ago on their channel. Pretty amazing that hardly anyone knew who they were at this festival, and they headlined it the very next year. It was also 40c (104F) that day. So respect to the people still going hard in the mosh pit!

For a background and the creation of the band I recommend the DVD "Rammstein in America" that are 2 DVD on one is the entire concert in Madison Square Garden 2010 and 1 DVD with "Rammstein in America - The Documentation" Very recommended ! Illuminates the Time until 2010. I got them on Amazon and not even expensive around 15,00 Euro with optional English or German subtitles. Many pictures from their private archives. Super good

They weren't as young as they look here at the time. Except for the bass player Oliver, everyone was around 30. Till was 33 here. They were pretty old for a newly formed band. They had played in other bands before.That also comes from that time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJ3QZ3l-hZ6Jh68

They look very young compared to now though and to many of the videos Jim has watched.

How young are you people when you think that 30 is old? 😂😂😂
@fixzeichner55924 жыл бұрын
@@bakualu I am a year older than Till Lindemann. For a band to be formed, 30 years is pretty old. Most bands start their careers in their early twenties. Flake and Paul had already made music together in 1983 in the band feeling B. Rammstein was founded 13 years later. It is probably the reason for their long success that they did not go through the mistakes of very young musicians. But that also has to do with the history of our country. Like me, the band members lived in the GDR, the Russian-occupied part of Germany. A band with lyrics like Till's would have been banned back then or could only have existed underground. They could only establish themselves in the form after the collapse of the communist regime.

@@101frustrations That's what they are in contrast to today. Except for Olliver, everyone is over 50. Till is the oldest at 57.

That was at a time when they didn't know they were a legend. Blonde hair for a rock band is a no go today. It was like that 25-30 years ago. I already know that you are not allowed to put the studio versions online ...... That is the song why I became a Rammstein fan
