4:29 Reaction start _Ossu!_ 🦊🤘🥋 Thanks for coming back with this suggestion, as you can see SuMetal and the girls can make everyone sing no matter if you're metalhead or not, that's the power of several years of crowd control and of course the power of the Fox God -NotACult- 🦊🤘 The band you saw with them is called Kami Band and is the regular band after 2014, according to the lore (yep they got lore) they were send by the Fox God to help the girls with the metal sound, they're the god of guitars, god of bass and god of drums. They're a elite set of musicians and among the best you can find in Japan. All of them are males, of course they got their own names but those never went on public officially, except for one who is credited for certain songs at studio album. They rotate so not always you'll see the same members, especially the guitarrists. They are: - Míkio Fujioka, god of guitar, a beloved member, sadly he passed away in 2018. R.I.P.🙌 - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. You can see at the end (when SuMetal is crawling to upstairs) his head got written "Happy Birthday". - Hideki Aoyama,, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japan music scene. Their latest special version got the Western Kami Band playing (all of them none Japanese of course) and introducing this new Metalverse with a lovely surprise. This was live at Download Festival 2016 and as you can see it was raining like there's no tomorrow, i let someone else explain the funny story of Download, even the producer and creator KobaMetal had to mope the stage to prevent the girls got some accidents, is risky when the stage is wet. The official MV is also worth to watch and it shows the meaning of the song very clear. Next suggestion: - Onedari Daisakusen live at Legend 1997, Gans Tomas got this clip safe to react. This is a Black Babymetal song with only Yui and MoaMetal singing and performing while SuMetal is taking a break. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Ah, Karate at Download 2016.... This is my goto vid to show my friends what Babymetal is all about. Other people might show Headbanger, Road of Resistance, or Rondo of Nightmare..... Those are great performances, don't get me wrong, but this here is basic Babymetal. Su's Vocals, the Kamiband rocking out, Yui and Moa leading the crowd, and the Crowd participation. In some of their Japan mega concerts you'd expect the Japanese crowd to go bonkers, but to see the look of surprise on my friends faces, when they witness a sea of non-Japanese metal heads, singing along with 3 little Japanese girls in the pouring rain... That is priceless.🤘🦊🤘

I'd say this is probably the best one I've heard so far. But the others might be good ones to introduce people to. I think it all depends on the listener. Love this one though.

Great reaction. Download 2016 - renamed DRownload. As you read, their set was delayed for 40 minutes while the equipment was covered and water was swept off the stage to make it safe enough for them to perform ... there is even a photo of their producer Kobametal out there doing the sweeping himself. Not sure what you thought you heard when Su was ad-libbing, whatever it was I've never heard it in the countless times I've watched this performance🤔 (but there was a slight glitch or something just before you said it). I love the way she takes out her IEM as she tells the crowd "Let us hear your voice". She really means it and she wants to hear them. A couple more interesting things about Download. In 2014 BABYMETAL played at Sonisphere, the Download organiser said there was a time and a place for bands like BABYMETAL, but Download was not one of them and they would never play there and he effectively banned them. In 2015 BABYMETAL were due to appear at an awards show in London with DragonForce. DragonForce were playing Download a few days before and smuggled BABYETAL in, inviting them up on stage to play 'Gimme Chocolate with them. The organiser had seen them in costume back stage and tweeted to ask what was going on. Word got out about BABYMETAL playing with DragonForce and the crowd that gathered exceeded the boundaries for the audience at the stage they were playing ... and they went down a storm. So here they were just a year later playing their own set on the main stage. They were back again in 2018 and would have been there again in 2020 had everything not been cancelled.

Man, I was completely dead inside before I found these three cute little foxes a few years ago... their music and energy brought me back to life... seriously... Love your reactions, great as always. I think my favorite part of this is something not obvious, towards the end Su-Metal is singing while she is jumping as part of the choreography; I still think this is beyond human that her voice is near perfect even through that, she is so impressive.

Good reaction, thanks! I believe that BABYMETAL is the band or group that better transfers the songs to the live performances To the point they are sometimes considered basically a live act. Even they referred to their studio albums as "business cards" meaning that their live shows are actually their core business. They were trained as idols. So, they are not technically professional dancers. They are proficient in acting, presenting, making speeches, modeling as well as singing and dancing. And yes, kudos to BABYMETAL, the Kami Band and the audience for going on despite the heavy rain. And to Koba, for mopping the water off the stage. 😁 🤘🦊

There is a funny photo that floats around online of Kobametal mopping the stage himself before the performance that day. He wasn't willing to let the girls perform until he was convinced that it was safe for them to do so.

I saw Weezer with Blink 182 and it started raining right in the middle of Blinks 1st song and didn't let up until the end of the show. Still one of the best shows I've been to.

6:46 you're wrong at that - no, they're professional dancers, at very young age, their producer actually call them "Metal dance unit", although with nature of Babymetal songs at that time they tend to do more expressive appropriate moves to burst out that energy with the crowd, not as technical like pure dancer groups but they got unique choreo that "tell story" for every song. They do get much more technical with recent albums tho

I mean yes, they are doing it professionally at a high level. But they weren't trained dancers prior to the group is what I'm getting at. They weren't professional ballet dancers or hip hop dancers that joined the band.

The choreography is actually an interpretation of the lyrics, so when the lyrics repeats, so do the dance moves, it's also how they remember which moves they need to do.
