I love everything about Elvis. I love the way he held (in fact still holds) his audience in the palm of his hand . How the musicians followed where he lead because he knew exactly what he wanted - timing, sound, everything. He never ever disappointed. This song? What always grabs me in Elvis performances John is I've never seen any performer feel the music like him. The rhythm and soul pours out of him like nothing I've ever seen from any other artist. Great review as always Sir 👍👍

Probably his most underrated song, I love this song. Nobody could hold an audience like Elvis, just magical. You will like this true story, behind the scenes. I grew up in Bakersfield Ca, about 100 miles north of LA. I had a teacher in elementary school, Francis Smith, a beautiful woman, she was from Memphis. She dated Elvis in her early twenties and even brought a picture of them together. We asked her what he was like, she said he was a wonderful, kind and generous person, she absolutely loved him until her passing, unfortunately at a very young age. Pat Clary, a retired boss of mine at The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, worked in security at the hotel this was filmed, The International, was Elvis's security for the hotel along with the Memphis Mafia. Pat always told us, Elvis treated everyone like a friend. Pat left in 72 and started a career in table Games. He got laid off in 74 and for a few months worked at The International again, same job. Elvis came in for an engagement and after not seeing Pat for 2 years ran up to Pat, gave him a big hug, remembered his name and invited him out to the airport and spent a couple of hours with him showing off his new airplane, The Lisa Marie. True story. I will tell one more story next time another boss told me. This is no BS. Sad the drugs took everything from him. I get it, we all love to party, enjoy life. But when your taking pills by the handful, you get a quicker way to heaven.

Big John, I'm not a country music guy, but 2 things your you tube family would enjoy. Merle Haggard sings live on a talk show "Kern River" a big hit for him. It's the first time singing it, jaw dropping good. Roy Clark, playing on a TV show, "The Odd Couple" , a noted country artist, he plays a flamingo style guitar song that blew me away. As a musician, you will love it. Thanks

It's why some people think he could've been a great actor in the right roles. I always thought he was a good, natural actor, but he only seems to get credit for a few select roles -- King Creole and Flaming Star, in particular. The only movie I don't think he was particularly good in was his first one, Love Me Tender, but he caught on quickly and learned from more experienced actors.

What a voice. Hard to believe he never had a voice lesson or an acting lesson. He said he didn’t want to because he was afraid it might change him. He always gave 1000% in all his concerts. He loved his fans and they loved him back, and still do today. The more Elvis you play the more subscribers you will get. He recorded 900 songs, so you better get busy.

Just give Elvis any song and he will Elvitize it like only he can do. If you can watch him do Dixieland rock. His voice, his natural moves, just out of this world. He felt music and naturally moved to it. He didn’t rehearse any moves like all singers today. Mike Jackson, gags, Lopez etc. All rehearsals.
