More from the Follin brothers and I am SO PUMPED. The only thing I expect from those two these days are great rhythms and high energy.

Miyamoto actually asked follin if he was using a secondary sample chip with the music, This is indeed all original hardware the SNES uses. Follin was a god at making chips work.

@@TheTechnoFunkBoy Pretty sure Tim was still in high-school when he started making music on the zx spectrum and c64. Guy had that talent for learning on the job and pretty sure he had to code it all himself, too. Sucks that a lot of the games he worked on were so mediocre for how good his music was.

@@TheTechnoFunkBoy hi I have an other suggestion if you can? I'm not sure if you just react to nes and snes but this soundtrack is from Japanese home computer msx2. Metal gear 2 solid snake is my suggestion It's got a very cool ost. Snakes theme has a very 80s action film feel to it.

Note that the Miyamoto story isn't confirmed, and could be made up, however Miyamoto was nearly involved in the development of Plok, and at some point was indeed provided with an unfinished copy containing music.

Good god the blue balls I got off Beach right as the guitar was about to hit. So many of these tracks really shift gear later on and are absolutely worth a full listen some time. As someone without any musical knowledge it is still really interesting to see you take the time to listen to these and explore what makes them so great.

yeah man right befor the solo! I was like whaaaaaaattt noooooooo XD same with Acryllic. it really only gets great near the end. That's like cutting off "stairway to heaven" in the middle of the second verse....

You should totally take an extended look at Beach and Akrillic. Where you stopped on both of them was when it was about to switch gears lol. I would suggest a closer look on both of those. They are in fact some of my favourite pieces composed for SNES.

Boss Theme for one of my favorites of all time, it's a track so sinister, *it begins with villainous laughter~*. And it starts off like a UFO is invading, but that heavier part kicks in afterwards and is just a merciless onslaught of percussion, like the song is trying to beat you up, The Brothers Follin can't be matched! Ohhhh, baby I can't get enough of sharing enthusiasms and yours is infectious and informed, that's a subbin' for sure~ See you at the Sound Test!

Also, both "cavern" and "creepy crag" have long upbeat intros (like a minute or so), but both take a massive turn to the creepy right after, do check it out later.

There's one oldschool composer who I'd say rivals Tim and Geoff Follin, and that's Jeroen Tel. I'd definitely recommend looking up stuff from Jeroen Tel, especially Robocop 3 (NES/Commodore64), Alien 3 (NES), and Golden Axe (Commodore64).

I know you already mentioned the comments pointing it out, but I am curious; after the comments on "Beach" etc did you go back and listen to it fully out of curiosity? And if so, how did you react when you realised it turned into a completely different song? That said I love your genuine reactions. Some of the facial expressions remind me of my own when I re-found the soundtrack again. There are just so many amazing effects used for this game.

Plok is my favorite game of all time and the music is probably a big part of that. I suggest you fully listen to Beach, Creepy Forest/Flea Pit, Cavern, Creepy Crag, and Akrillic. They're the real meat and potatoes of the soundtrack and all the weapon named songs are the bonus stage type songs.

Judging by this and other comments, I think it’s going to be too frustrating to watch this video. Considering those songs are amazing and have long loop points, you really can’t skip any part of those.

I'd say that hard in a playful way sums up Plok well, honestly - Even down to if your ammo being your limbs meaning if you ran out you were a torso hopping along the ground with all the clumsiness in movement that sounds like.
