Yorushika is my favorite artists from Japan. The way their songs make me feel a lot of things through melody, lyricism and narratives is very special to me. The story of Amy and Elma is the reason why I listened to their entire discography and even listened to N-buna's previous albums during his Vocaloid years. I just really love Yorushika.

Well, Yorushika definitively doesn't throw much at once, at least two full albums, and not exactly sure how much of two mini albums, are dedicated to this story between Amy (the guy) and Elma (the girl) the love is not unrequited, it's just that he left to pursue a career in music and here is one of the parts where you see how it's not going well with how the gas and water being cut off. This album does focus on Amy sending letters to Elma and the other on Elma writing in a diary, that content being available with some limited editions. In a bit of spoiler with a couple other songs the not throwing all at once turns into being able to see part of the thought process of the characters, in the main song of Amy's album, That's Why I Gave up on Music, he repeatedly talks about his pains being Elma's fault, but later on, on a song from Elma's perceptive, A Hole Opened Up in My Heart, she blames what happened to Amy as Music's fault, just to later on she recalls Amy's words and says she now understand what he said with "you're my music" meaning that Amy was indeed blaming Music and Elma started to blame herself as well.
