Hello Joe. You are such a geniune interviewer. I'm a 55 year old jazz/rock guitarist, so I'm from your generation. You can sense how special and rare these guys are. They're like youngsters who landed in our present world from a time capsule from the late 1960s through the 1970s... I went to grade school and high school with the drummer's father near Frankenmuth, Michigan...

Sadly they played in my town last year when I was clueless to their existence... hope they come around again soon! I've been listening to their music non-stop and have watched quite a few interviews, reaction videos, their tiktok compliation, and a podcast filled with GVF facts.. already a full-blown Gretahead 😅 just ordered my first GVF shirt and can't wait to wear it!

That's another thing I love about these guys, they come from a listening background to many genres of music same as I did my family is musical we went to sleep and woke up listening to accordions, banjos, drums, fiddles -my very favorite is mountain music cause you are getting a full story or conversation but it's in song. When Josh names artists I know who he is talking about-but honestly this is the first rock band I have purposely listened to in 58 years. And I am glad we have them around. They are good family people.

So great to see a group of young guys making an old-fashioned thing called rock and roll ---- where the MUSIC comes first! Not the image, not the video, not the corporate hard sell. Just straight-ahead rockin' energy and a commitment to musical excellence Number One. I saw Led Zeppelin live in 1969 on their first North American tour and this is what they were like---- stripped down, just guitar, bass, drums and vocals. No unnecessary BS. I'm sure a lot of young kids today will love them because they are such a great alternative to the incredibly boring dead Rap/HipHop/Technodance canned digital drum garbage that dominates everything today.

The part about the parent or in my case a grandparent complimenting is huge confidence booster. After our band broke up, my drummer and I would jam in his basement and his grandfather, God rest his soul, was a grumpy guy and was always miserable but in a funny way. Well, we were jamming on Stones and we did some blues and Chuck Berry. His grandfather, who was like a grandfather to me as well, said "So, you guys are good. I like the Chuck Berry." I don't think he realized that we were a pretty successful gig band, playing a lot of the east coast, but mostly in our home town of Philly. We had a house band gig at a legendary Philly Rock and Roll bar that is gone now. I don't think his grandfather payed any attention. We had a bit of a break because I was a professional BMX rider, though I wasn't big time, but I am a Philly BMX legend. The singer/rhythm guitarist was a BIG TIME pro BMX rider and we both had a million friends. Six of our songs are in BMX videos that were sold around the world. I chased my dreams and it was a good time. I've since become a music teacher, teaching 4 instruments, though I can play more, and a father. My daughter is starting on harmonica. She's two and plays better than I can.

Hi Mike…. I did enjoy it. I already liked them from watching other interviews and wanted to give them a chance to talk about how they created their style/sound without saying something about Led Zepplin. Tom Petty had critics saying he was a Dylan clone which was unfair and of course he found his sound just like GVF is doing. Everyone is influenced by somebody that came before them. Thanks for watching… Joe

Ella… I like my guest being able to tell their story without interruption but I must say the guys in the band treat each other with tremendous respect and don’t cut into the other guy who is speaking. I find it’s usually the interviewer who cuts off the guest to jump to their next question without listening to what the guest is trying to say. The interviewer usually goes and stays on the lead singer or maybe lead guitarist and stays there. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and watching our channel.. Best, Joe

What an amazing interview by Joe, may he rest in peace. I was saddened to hear of his passing, but this interview show his amazing live and heart, almost like a father talking to his boys. When Duane Eddy came out, yoy know how he cared for theses guts by asking Duane to show up. Duane also so his heart too, I was brought to tears by Joe and Duane's care. It was like a Christmas morning moment. Very well done, two giants showing their respect for the band, now all you complainers out there: Shut the heck up. You can switch heck with your favorite word, lol.

what a great interview! the questions were interesting and the answers were to the point with no rambling or talking over each other. it was also so easy to see they really love each other and respect each other as musicians. if they can stay away from the drugs and the hangers-on they'll be around a damn long time. imagine living the dream...what a rush. joe, you're a dinosaur but I'm sure you have one great story after another. you should do an interview yourself. can you think of an interviewer you'd like to have ask the questions? oh yeah, not one mention of led zep by either side!

Cruiser…. Thanks for sharing your thoughts…. As for me doing interviews I have done a couple. I also did a series of questions and answers for our viewers a couple of weeks after COVID-19 hit and we had to stop doing new interviews for a few months. You can find them on our youtube channel and on our website if you’re interested. Not asking about LZ was my decision as I felt they had been unfairly compared to them in every interview or article I had seen. Merry Christmas… best, Joe

@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum those are awesome cars. I still have a 67 conv Camaro I bought when I was 16 and an ss350 that I bought at18. I started working at 10 (60hrs a week) and bought them on my own as well as a 69 pace car and a 68 conv. Sold the pace car in 96 when I blew out a knee and couldn't work but had to buy diapers. The 68 is a rat now and the other two have been in storage since the late 80s or early 90s. Broke my back in 98 and have been through some hard times, the wife is gone but I flat out refused to sell the cars. Hope to break them out very soon and enjoy them again before I'm gone and my kids can enjoy them then. I played in bar bands in the 80s but haven't since. May be breaking out my 74 rickenbacker bass soon too. My son is better than I ever was on guitar and has resurrected some old feelings of love of music. He's been playing less than 5yrs and is pulling off Hendrix and SRV already. I'm glad you are posting what you do man we love it. I'd love to come see your hall and take u for a cruise in the ss. They’ve moved way beyond covering Zep songs...they have matured and are doing great rock music. I DO wish that they wouldn’t try so very hard NOT to acknowledge the obvious influence of Zeppelin on their sound.

@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum Wowwza.... I have a reply from the MR. CHAMBERS..... I have found you due to a Joe Bonamassa interview...I love the LONG FORMAT interview or news story and you do such a WONDERFUL JOB of getting into the meat of the Musician ( RIP MEATLOAF ) I am really learning alot of minutia that I didn't before. I am currently now on Marty Stuart... & I see that Vince Gill is on the que. I would like to see you do a special tour of the storage area where so many instruments were flooded during the 2015 flood in nashville. I saw Little Big Town right after that and they told the story of so many instruments being lost, it was maybe a 3 minute story during that show and I did all I could to not cry in public. Look forward to many more of your interviews... Marty just ordered pizza during the break.... sausage/ cheese/ jalepeno for me please.... Lovin ya all the way from HOUSTON

Thanks Chuck…. Well actually we got hit hard by the flood in 2010. Long story short the city took my first museum by eminent domain to build a new convention center which displaced us. With only seven days notice to relocate or move our museum and it’s entirety before demolition was to begin on our building we in a hurry placed much of our artifacts in storage at the same place many musicians kept their gear. It flooded two months after we were forced to move there. I have video the first day we were allowed to enter the storage building a week later. I may share it one day on our KZbin channel. Thanks again for watching…Joe

Hi Christopher…. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments. You are exactly right that Zepplin was not mentioned on purpose but it was me that made the choice. I never told them that I wouldn’t and they never asked me not to bring up Led Zepplin as a influence. It’s obvious they were but I knew their Dad exposed them to all the blues legends from a very early age so even though they were very into Zepplin they were also fans of who influenced Led Zepplin too. If they brought up L Z I would have elaborated on their thoughts of them too but I did not want to do the same interview with them that every other interview I had seen or listened to brought up. I didn’t think it was fair anymore than I thought it was fair that in their early years every interviewer said Tom Petty was a Bob Dylan clone. His voice naturally resembled Dylan but as he grew as a artist he found his own sound and I already see that happening with GVF… Again thanks for watching and supporting us…. Best, Joe
