Hello. There is a show (which must go on) on chinese tv "Classical Chants", there trying to give a second life to ancient poems by adapting them to the rhythm of modern music. Dimash sings lyrics from times of dynasty Tan (Tan dinasty united Steppe and China under the Sky, exactly turk people (original turks), kazakhs also turkut people. When being interviewed in Russia after this sing off, the interviewer asked him about his attire in the performances. Dimash, having been raised to never say a bad word about anyone, simply said, "I had no say so about what I wore". Also, because he is so tall and the wardrobe for the average Chinese is for below average height, everything was too short for him. He kept reminding himself that it was not about the clothing but the singing.

Some Freddie Mercury fans can’t stand his English and say it’s terrible. Most reactors actually love it and feel Freddie would appreciate how well he made it his own. This was his very first English song and the 3rd in a season Thank you for promoting Dimash

Incredible reaction, they just talked about both Dimash's outfit and Dimash's incredible performance. To clarify Dimash was the youngest competitor in the history of that show. It was the first time that a foreigner was invited since it was an exclusive competition for consecrated Chinese singers and the rules were that a foreigner could not win it, that's why the second place, but all the audience and the competitors knew that Dimash was immensely the best. Due to that, the rule that a foreigner could not win was eliminated and for 2018 Jessie J was invited who was the first foreign winner to win it. For Dimash, beyond not winning that competition, it was the ideal platform that launched him to international and world fame. Never better said that saying "Losing also wins." Greetings from Panama.

Можете себе представить, какой поднялся ажиотаж после первой же песни в его исполнении - СОС...Его выступление посмотрели 600 млн человек. а конкурс обрел новое дыхание...Ему пришлось соревноваться с самыми знаменитыми китайскими певцами, а он был самый молодой, никому неизвестный певец из другой страны...Можете представить, как ему было тяжело, ведь он не знал языка и разговаривал только через переводчика... Каждую неделю надо было представить новую песню, которую ему предлагали...Полностью он победил в 2 раундах, с песнями СОС и АДАЖИО...но он вышел в финал и стал вторым... многие здесь удивлялись. почему он не победил... Но победила певица - прима Китая Сэнди Лей... ему просто не дали победить. как это - первый же иностранный певец побеждает на своем конкурсе... А одевали всех конкурсантов китайские стилисты...После триумфа Димаша конкурс приобрел международное значение и стали постоянно приглашать певцов из за рубежа... А Димаш стал любимцем Китая и они называют его " поющим демоном" У него семилетний контракт с Китаем и сейчас он тоже там, выступает в другом шоу... Так что ждем новых песен...!

Might even be less than a week because I read that he flew back to Kazakhstan to perform ‘the question of honour’ in the winter universiade opening ceremony before episode 3. @@AndreaSilvestro - Yes, it really does. One of my fave singers Ayanga is in the SuperVocal Boys. He will be to Dimash's left (our right of Dimash) in this performance and has really great vocals. FYI, the Super Vocal Boys are not a group but seperate competitors in the Super Vocal Boys contest. Each week they were paired up with different people and had to come up with their best combined efforts. Three were paired up for the Finale and they invited Dimash as their guest singer. The results of this effort are soooo good.

Hey guys, what Sean says, it's true, Dimash can only be compared to himself. If in 2017 he was perfect, now 2021, he is even more perfect, he surpasses himself. These performances are so nostalgic in a way, I never get bored watching them. Hey A&S, as you know DIMASH doesn't let any detail get past him...I think his costume represents an actor or performer backstage getting ready and this is a dressing gown/robe. His ENGLISH IS SO MUCH BETTER. BUT SO IS HIS MANDARIN. DANG! Like why not add in ANOTHER language while working on his PhD. 👍 Yep. Next time let's throw in some alligator 🐊 wrestling. Ngl but, Eastern Singers, like Dimash here has way more dedication than Western Singers, you just can't compare them because the results that Eastern Singers have sown from all the hard work is just too great. I never really believed it that much, but Hard Work really does pay off.

Dimash didn't choose outfits, stylists dressed him like that in this competition, he also got a new haircut and make-up. China edition ))) But I think he is really sweet there. )))

You are right in that Dimash can only be truly compared with himself...... The production values of the Singer are a level above the competition shows in North America and Europe. And, yes, his dress code is idiosyncratic. But, hey, why not?? I love your commentary....

I kinda feel that that coat thing was just hanging in the dressing room and he just put it on! :D I do love the red lining as he moves around! idk though, but he makes anything work. btw I believe that he barely knew how to say 'hello' in English at that time.

You’ll see in many of the “Singer” performances the most astute artist know the guitar is the one instrument that can challenge a persons memory with vocals so they will bring the guitarist onstage for the solo then get him offstage so the vocals are what’s remembered.
