My favorite moment is when Dimash sings the last and highest note! :D Aida joked during rehearsal that she could go rest and let Dimash rehearse her part! :) Thank you for this one, Dimash is amazing in his lower registers. And Igor always has HUGE and elaborate birthday parties with all the singers that he's worked with through the years.

Dimash was consumed by the moment, enjoying it, and not being ridiculous, Shawn. What did you expect him to do? To hide somewhere, while the chorus was singing? By the way, the skaters are Olimpic champions and had seen it all. Aida was not married at the point. In Russia they wear rings on right hands.

Dimash & Aida have the best-matched timbres and vibratos I've ever heard. When they harmonize together, and Dimash synchs his vibrato with hers, I get chills every time I hear it. They are so well-matched that Dimash can take the final high note so seamlessly that almost no one notices that it's not Aida. (In the backstage rehearsal video, Aida tells Dimash that if she needs to leave early then he can sing her part. It was humorous, but also true.) Not to mention how aesthetically beautiful they look together, like a prince and princess literally stepping from the pages of a renaissance fairytale. Between the synchronicity of their voices and their appearances, I try not to think it's a tragedy for them not to have a child together. Forgive me, Dears...maybe in vitro? :-D

Dimash is extremely good at singing in duet. You should pay attention to the his duet performances. He is very comforting as a partner in singing. He never dominates in the performance. I like this kind of his skills: power and modesty, knowing how huge his opportunity but never trying to prevail over somebody.

Igors 65th Birthday celebrations went on for the whole year. He held concerts throughout the year each one with Dimash as the main event. At this one even Andrea Bocelli performed and met up.with Dimash to jam in the dressing room. I'm glad you read all the comments because I want to make what I think is a great suggestion! Andrea, you said that you want to attend a Dimash concert (who doesn't, right?). You absolutely should do Dimash's New York 2019 concert in four parts! (On YT there's Part 1 and Part 2 and each is about an hour, so you could do half of each part. I know that's half an hour each, but you could just pause between each song instead of during the song. ) The concert is amazing and you'll be able to see how he puts together a whole concert instead of just one song at a time. And believe me, he is the BEST dessert in this concert that you could ever want!! I live in Vegas and have seen a lot of great shows, but I'd pick this concert over any of them. PLEASE consider doing it!

The large choir, orchestra, and "dramatic" pose by Dimash are all parts of traditional European operatic music. This kind of stuff used to move audiences to tears. It has that "Epic" quality. Aida is not married. She's a single mom of her young son. She has never revealed who is the father. She's Russian and had early training in Russia, then training in Germany, and is now the leading soprano in the Vienna Opera Company.

Did you recognize Dimash was singing the high note at the end? Aida Garifullina was a little bit frustrated as she said, that Dimash could have sung this song alone also her whole part... Andrea, this was Igor's 65th birthday celebration. There was also more songs done at this same event. At minimum Dimash sang Ogni Pietra and Passione, which was the first two new songs Igor composed just for Dimash. Ogni Pietra has Dimash travelling from above to the ground at the place where this song started and Passione was also accompanied to a couple ice skating like happened here. It is actually funny as the woman skates by the man to go to Dimash at the end. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

Hi Andrea and Sean, Dimash will be participating as a guest performer and a member of the panel of judges in the New Wave Competition in Sochia, Russia this coming August 19-25, 2021. Have you seen the video clip showing him performing his duty as one of the judges in the recently concluded Slavic Bazaar Festival in Belarus? He appeared very serious in assessing the performances of the contestants. You could see in the video that his senses, particularly his ears, were formidably tuned-in to the sounds unfolding before him. By the way, one of his fellow judges was also a judge in 2015 who gave Dimash the grand prix win. That judge was proud to see that the winner he voted six years ago is now a world renowned artist.

When you have enough wealth to share with a hundred member choir and the moral temperament to do so ofc you'd hire so many people. Dimash and Aida are well educated vocalists so why would one try to dominate and ruin the song? you can watch the whole show on Igor's channel to get perspective. Opera is dramatic so the dress, poses, accessories fand acting from the artists are part of the performance package.

This was only Igor's Birthday Tour, He held his Party at a fancy Hotel and resort in Turkey, and it was for a couple of days, Dimash and his parents attended. There is video of it on YT Crazy Max....Max has been a chronicler for Dimash for a long time, at the closing ceremony, Dimash sang while fireworks went off, and he and his parents presented Igor with a giant portrait of Igor and his wife....

I wonder if Dimash’s “power pose” in the background near the end, was to help him brace against the (hopefully gentle) impact of the half-moon-shaped stage docking with the other part, where Igor is playing? It must have taken some good balance from them both .. Btw, I think Aïda is pronounced ‘Aahh-eee-dah’, rather than ‘Ada’, and she isn’t married as far as I know (in a number of countries, the wedding/engagement ring is worn on the right hand).

If the two singers are getting along, or they hold the music more dear than whose getting over on the other, or acting more professionally. The performance can go off as expected. However, and I've seen and heard it happen, if one of the the performers has had their itty-bitty's hurt and start acting up then everything and anything can happen. Maria Callas was famous for putting ego-driven Tenors in their place. Maria had legendary breath control and when the music moved to a note that ended the sequence they were in Maria would hold her note until the tenor would run out of air and embarrassingly had to stop and she would often turn to the Tenor and smile as she held her note a couple beats past the poor Tenor. I also watched The Dixie Chicks, who were supposedly honoring a role inodel in Stevie Nicks. Then when the singing came around Stevie's microphone was turned way down to where you could barely hear her. I don't think that was an accident. Dimash is being constrained by the score. It may also be that he wanted to show he could be a team player. I hear that Sean, I'm like Pig-Pen in Peanuts I seem to be a great attractor. I walk through a space and whatever isn't locked down I end up wearing. Andrea is correct the white Tux is definitely a Prince's garb. I have a video of a 10-11 year old Daneliya Tuleshova not only singing a Disney song, but she is in street shoes singing and walking on the ice. Then as if that isn't difficult enough, there are skaters all over the ice whizzing around her. Here is the link to that performance.
