Loved the homage at 21:44 to the legendary pianist Joe Sample. (Seven Years Good Luck, from Joe’s album entitled, Spellbound. I highly recommend that LP and his many other recordings including Ashes To Ashes.) Simply amazing. I hear many comparisons to quite a few greats which they’ve obviously done their homework on. From Spyro Gyra to George Benson, and Joe Sample to Dave Grusin , John Hammond and Larry Carlton. I’ll be adding this performance to my Sunday morning ritual, sitting on the patio with The New York Times a pitcher of Bloody Mary’s and great music. Thanks MI and regards.

For me Norman Brown is one of the best contemporary musicians and will continue to be valid for many more years, sudden and beautiful dance choreography of the three girls; and all the songs arouse great delight as in that sublime minute 21:44, which if it has a name, I am infinitely grateful to publish. Cheers

It’s from the amazing pianist Joe Sample. (Unfortunately, now deceased) Will get back to you with a title, as it escapes me at the moment, and some recommendations for a couple of his best albums. Btw, they do a beautiful rendition, as close as I’ve ever heard, and I’ve seen Joe live several times! 😉 Regards
@ronaldelliott4373 Жыл бұрын
Yep, it’s called, “Seven Years Good Luck,” and is the first cut from Joe Samples’ LP “Spellbound.” Add that and his “Ashes To Ashes” album to you collection.

Musicians' Institute, you're promoting your music education, but why don't you provide all the details info about this performance - year and date of this performance, venue and names of the musicians. For example, I'm curious who's playing sax, who's on drums etc. Your introduction is all about MI promotion and contacts, and nothing about this video, and the date of the performance
