The first drop D song I learned was Blind by Korn. Has a nice sound, fun to play, and it's simple!

Every drop d song is my favorite...maybe...

Space Cadet by Kyuss, it is in drop c#, which is almost the same as drop d, so I bet that counts. It magically utilizes this tuning with it's bluezy/trippy feel. If you haven't heard it, give it a spin, you won't be disappointed.

The verse riff for “Beast and the Harlot” by Avenged Sevenfold has been living rent free in my head since I first learned that riff years ago.
