Thanks for taking the time to make such useful and logically laid out tutorial videos. I've been using logic since version 8 and Digital performer since version 3. Your references to how other DAWs work really add the connecting points to understanding Logic better. Great job and thank you again.

I have the same problem as Matthew Watson: "Is it possible to overlay two audio regions on a track and have the area of region that is being overlapped still play? I don't want it to be muted or cut off. For example, I want to record two guitar parts as two regions on the same track. But I want the end of one guitar part to continue playing as the next guitar part (next region) begins to play. Ideally I don't want to have to create separate tacks to accomplish this". Can you please help with this issue, its driving me nuts! Thank you.

+Matthew Watson Why do you ask this? Are you running out of tracks?
@Saientific5 жыл бұрын
@@stevencorley3296 Well in my case, when I'm recording vocal for a hook that repeats, I would like the regions to over lap without having to put them on a separate track. Especially since I have enough tracks that are just for the hook and if I make more it'll be clutter

A little late but for other people with the same problem, select the region, go to "edit-repeat multiple". I don't know how to pull it up with a shortcut though.

Hi, i was wondering as you explain in minute 3:00 that you need to trim the region to the beat if it's too long, but what to do if your audio file (let's say a kick) is too short? Is it possible to lenghten a region so that you can create a kick that is just one beat long? I have problems with joining 4 beats together and loop them because there is a little bit empty space between the region and the beat grid. I hope this was somewhat clear

Quick and to the point question...one small section of a guitar lick I've recorded is off beat. How do I highlight the lick and move it to where I need it? The recording software that I used for years, I could just point, click, drag and re-point to the spot wanted the audio to be. Is there an easy way in LogicProx???

man, I can't find drag modes! It's missing from the toolbar and "customize toolbar" too. Any ideas?
@TylerGreenMusic3 жыл бұрын
When you're dragging those tracks it shows a semi transparent image of that track moving with your cursor showing you where it's going to actually go when you release your mouse button. I can't figure out how to make mine do that. Right now it doesn't show me anything I basically just have to guess and hope I'm dragging it the right distance for where I want it to land. It's driving me crazy

hey, thanks for this video. informational, but not exactly what i am requiring pronto. I would like to know what video of yours explains the audio recorded regions and how to utilise them? Like, I recorded a few takes of vocals, and listened back to hear I sang a little late in rhythm to the guitar instrument. I want to first of all separate the takes from underneath the overall vocal recording thingy majig at the top. Then I cut the track where I want the vocals to be included in the final song. I now would like to now how to move some of these sections of the track around, with freedom so no snap, to match the guitar's rhythm? Help would be very much appreciated, Thank you

Hey MusicTechHelpGuy, I cannot move audio regions to other tracks. I need help and no one seems to know what to do! In attempts to protect my audio tracks I must have pushed a button that I now have lost track of. My attempts to fix this problem has lead me to the "protect track" setting which I've added to the track menu, but I still can't move audio regions up/down, only left/right. Help?

how do you move one region from another in the between the lines?
@scholoco73252 жыл бұрын
when you moved a region it stayed there and left a gp. I can NOT get Logic proX to do this> What is going on? Noshift/control and driaging keeps the moved region where it is. It just snaps back to where it was. 'Snap' is OFF,
