Great reaction! Beautiful song that was written for them that is the campaign song for a popular anime movie coming out this year in Japan. The song is also on their new album. Also got to see it performed this live I believe for first time last night at their 5th anniversary show at Budokan!! It was a great show over 2 hours. Sadly I could not be there like DragonPhly. I swear he is everywhere haha. But was able to watch the live stream. It sounded great. Mayu cracked on that last note a bit because she look like she was about to cry haha. She is such a great emotional singer. It was a great concert and a very big moment for the band. 5 years and already performing at legendary Budokan. Amazing band and my favorite.

@@musikbyjh it is still available to watch for a week and it is something I would normally say go for it. But the stream had alot of lag in it at times.70 percent is good i say but 3 or 4 songs have freezes up. Zaiko streaming is usually great never had problems like this before but this stream was not the best. So I say just hold off. Nemophila will be releasing that show with it all mastered and on blyu ray sometime this year.I m guessing sometime this summer most likely.

i feel like hanabie got that metalcore hardcore heavy breakdowns vibe, on the otherhand nemophila's style is like pantera plus nu metal with crazy solos..both great bands

Most reactors say something like "Definitely not what I was expecting!" or "Totally not what I thought!" or "It took me by surprise!", etc. listening to this beautiful song. But all of them say "This is a great power ballad" in the end. And I agree to them all - this is 100% epic old-school power ballad. Mayu is a versatile rock singer. She growls in Zen and now in Odyssey she sings softly adding almost childish notes to her vocal sometimes. And in this MV everything is just perfect starting from great music and lyrics and ending with cool outfits. Nemophila will never let us down.🙂🤘

When a top class metal band writes a song for a kiddy cartoon...... My fav of their slow songs is "Now I Here". The guitar solos in that song is the most tasteful and ingenious I've ever heard in my life! Plus you get to see Mayu shed a tear whilst singing... It pulls at your heartstrings.

I have noticed on the few songs before Saki left the band she is playing more background then being a lead guitar player. Almost like they were starting to phase her out of the band. Would explains why she felt that it was time for her to leave. And that the band decided not to replace her but go with a four piece band confirms it.

Hey Jeremy I think the online video you saw of Mayu and Hazuki was them cutting up parts of their banner from their last tour and giving them out for donations to help parts of Japan that had an earthquake a month or so ago. forget how long it was but it was recent.

_Heartwarming_ reaction, once more, thank you so much. 😊🙏 Concerning Nemophila: Just give them _anything_ , and they will turn it into gold. Yesterday I let their albums run through my smartphone during a long distance run, and I realized once more, that they exist above the "limitations" of music genres. They are inspired and motivated by _any_ excellent piece of music they run into, and craft something completely own out of these influences. Add angst-free and restless creativity, chemistry and their mutual friendship-based appreciation, and the results are their _unique_ and _brilliant_ songs. Apart from Iron Maiden and Lovebites, Nemophila contribute to the soundtrack of my everyday life. Successfully: It became brighter since they entered. 😊 "Thank you so much, ladies. the square cutting was something they did for their Budokan show. the squares were all signed by the members and given out for making donations towards the earthquake relief. if memory serves, they got over 700,000 yen donated. also, their performance was amazing. i was there, and met the legend himself Dragonphly.

This song is for the campaign (promotion) for a *CHILDREN'S ANIME MOVIE* opening in March in Japan. This movie is made for children. Not adults. With that said. This song makes sense the way it's produced. It does sound like it's from a movie soundtrack. Would I call *Odyssey* a Power Ballad?? *No.* A song being played at the end (credits) of a movie. *Yes.*

I was not a fan of 80’s power ballads in the 80’s. I absolutely love Nemophila this song is the 1st they have done that just does not hit for me.

@@musikbyjh Think Asami's pronunciation was a challenge for you. I just thought you were more a death / black metal guy so the thumbnail comment surprised me. I'm a thrash metalhead myself, listening to Nuclear Assault Game Over as we speak but I love Asami's vocals on all LOVEBITES songs! All good. 🤘

Yeah, I def had some issues with Asami’s vocals. I think the difference was she was a bit more theatrical or a little too “power metal” for me…maybe with the type of vibrato she uses. Her pronunciation was distracting in the older LB stuff…but the later stuff, she sounded amazing. But very different from Mayu’s style…that’s for sure. I don’t listen to much death metal these days…I’m more into the progressive type of metal myself…but honestly, I listen to a whole lot of different things these days. We def need to revisit LB though. 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
