After having listened to Ren's Chapter Series Intently and multiple times, this track just encapsulates his story so well and serves as musical accompaniment for The Chapters. Ren's experiences are very familiar to me to say the least, as is often the case with many of his supporters. Ren's success is so deserved and I do truly hope it continues. Ren is the medicine many of us need. So raw and vibrant in color, combined with his naturally emotive performance! Indeed Ren....Your Limo has finally arrived

On the RenMakesStuff channel Ren has an autobiographic reading, telling his story in eight chapters. From the end of his friend Joe over becoming ill, getting and losing the contract with Sony, via his odyssey through various diagnosis and attempts of treatments to becoming at least better after his stem cell treatment. Very personal and emotional videos. Even if you thought you understood Ren's songs beforehand, you understand them even better afterwards and they become even more intense.

I am so not a rap/hip hop fan - but I adore Ren because he has the ability to put into words the things that need saying and he really is giving a voice to things that are generally invisible that a lot of us deal with... and yeah most Ren songs have a tears component (well except for Uninvited that one just gets giggles) - as an aside HS... it took until I was 38 to even find out it had a name and it wasn't just my fubar body hating me... so solid empathy and commiserations

Oh mate you had me worried from the intro knowing what you were about to react to. I hope it helped you even if very emotional 🫂 With great power comes great responsibility, and Ren is truly a hero! He is using his growing powers and platform for so much more than simply creating brilliant music. Ren has said that he always had this feeling that he was meant to change the world for the better. So much that he defiantly yelled a challenge to evil into an empty room. And then he got sick… Ren has now shared the full story of his health journey in 8 video chapters leading up to the release of this song and what a journey it has been. If anyone hasn’t already watched them, I highly recommend you do. With all the chapters he is showing immense strength in sharing his story that is so hard to tell, being vulnerable and telling it because he hopes it will help others and raise awareness. And here he is with another rendition of that story, now told through music with a fire beat and delivering a message of hope. A beautiful hero that the world needs ❤️🐰🕳️

Anyway, when I want to say is, Ren and You and anyone else like us has made me feel so much better to know I’m not the only one out there suffering this way although I wouldn’t wish this on anyone it’s such a isolating disease and I am so thankful for the community of people I’ve found. And for people like you that show your own pain so that I don’t feel so alone. Thank you Thank you!!!!! I also want to say that I agree with you. It is easy for people who are healthy to say you’ll get through this. It’ll be OK. But when people who are going through with you are saying that it means so much more. I really believe Ren’s music has helped me through some hard times. And your videos help as well. I've been living in chronic pain since 2009 so I understand being in pain 24/7. Meds can take the edge off but it's still there. I'm also fortunate to have a husband that loves me and supports me. It's still important to know that we are not alone and there is hope. Thank you both for your beautiful reaction! Thank you Ren for caring and trying to find solutions instead of just a temporary band aid ❤

Taking all of what he has been through and still is going through and transforming it into such inspirational art and giving love and hope for so many people ... What a treasure. I personally am going through decades with severe depression and immense loneliness. Lost the ability to experience joy, excitement, love and more. But REN has definitely revived my love, my craving for GOOD music and especially meaningful lyrics. And YES, i would LOVE to see you two doing an interview with him ! That would be amazing. I'm not sure how far he's "come" The line in the sample was changed from "No one knows my trouble but God" to "No one knows my trouble with God" I interpret that last part," God I forgive you" because carrying the anger for the pain he's gone through isn't serving Ren anymore but for the actual pain and suffering he went through, he's done carrying it too so he's handed the burden back to God and moving on.

REN- TROUBLES [Intro: Vera Hall] Ooh Lordy, troubles so hard Repeating [Verse] I don't reach into the past very much For these shards of shattered glass and harsh paper cuts Leave me stuck when I reach in memories are seeped in hydrochloric acid I go to war and get passive and freeze up But music helped the ice to thaw Put a chisel in the middle swing the hammer of Thor Pull it out of the impossible, excalibur sword Etching note pads full of reasons why my feelings arе sore The first day that I got sick ejеcted from cockpit of living Nineteen, young teen, waking up bitten Posters up, manhunt, Ren went missing Hard to have faith when the gods don't listen The first year maybe was the hardest Waking in a body that was buried like a carcass Brain in the lions den, body in a shark pit Waking up in pain again, aching, brokenhearted Persistent little bugger I was bouncing from a doctor To a doctor to a doctor like a table tennis game that has no end So be the fate of Ren Every single question answered with a question on the end The second year I came to terms with giving up my dreams Mind was severed from the means that helped me write these rhyme schemes Brain was inflamed. the fatigue was crushing Hard to remain sane with your brain combusting And the third year was murder, living in a purga- Tory full of worry, wouldn't live to be thirty Lifestyle hurt me, always in my bed tomb Re-arrange the alphabet and all the letters spell "doom" Light hurt my eyes, popping pills to survive When you're twenty-three and mentally you steadily decline Twenty-four I was poor, disability benefits What's the benefit of disability? It's irrelevant Twenty-five and the scars that were etched, they cracked Elastic bands only stretch so far and then snap Deep in psychosis, hallucinations, troubled vision Visits from the underworld were conjuring my superstition Twenty-five, living back at home with my mum But not because I'm a bum, alone and physically done So thin, so frail, so weak I'd become And my skin so pale, never kissed by the Sun One time I carved a whole in my chest, just to feel I wish that was a metaphor, the struggle was real When you're living in a holocaust you buckle and kneel There's relief in the teeth of the kiss of cold steel Facts, twenty-six I'm highly medicated and the pain sophisticated While I'm laying broke and naked on my back I brought my microphone into my coffin, started droppin' Raw thoughts with the grim reaper knocking on the track Then man, lo and behold I heard an angel beckon on this treacherous road Was a stem cell doctor with a generous glow And a cell transplant brought me out of the cold And my skin got younger and my body got stronger And my stomach felt hunger for a door that was closed And my soul heard music for the first time Beauty was a word I'd use for this gift of gold Oh Lord, I forgive you, Lord I forgive you Lord, I forgive you, make me whole This music I give you, pain that I live through Everything I've been through is yours to hold

What may work better than trying to read subtitles filled with errors and missing or wrong words, is pull up a copy of the actual lyrics and go over them after each section of video that you watch. That way you get to fully enjoy the performance without distraction, then you can verify/clarify with the actual lyrics during your pauses.

Thanks, Michael! We've done that a couple times and will revisit. As you mentioned, the closed captions are always riddled with errors.
