The doctor actually donated the $25k stem cell procedure to Ren. That’s unheard of in the medical field. Once a year he gave a scholarship to a patient in need & he found Ren doing a vlog about his medical problems. A true miracle for us all. 💜

It's a full autobiography of Ren's 7 year struggle leading up to his transplant and how it affected him, his family, relationships, and friends. ❤❤❤.

The sample is actually taken from a track called ‘trouble so hard’, by Vera Hall, in 1937, a folk singer from Alabama. Moby subsequently sampled it for his track ‘natural blues’ in 2000? Ren has stated that this song has always resonated with him, due to his own struggles.

He was correct also the troubles sample is playing over the Nas messenger sample with a Ren twist of course.

..."Pimpin' My Pain"...After having listened to Ren's Chapter Series Intently and multiple times, this track just encapsulates his story so well and serves as musical accompaniment for The Chapters. Ren's experiences are very familiar to me to say the least, as is often the case with many of his supporters. Ren's success is so deserved and I do truly hope it continues. Ren is the medicine many of us need. So raw, combined with his naturally emotive performance! Indeed Ren....Your Limo has finally arrived...!

As you have seen in the comments already. RENMAKESSTUFF is his other You Tube page. He has 8 chapters with Songs that speak to those chapters on most of them. Plus all the explanation of how he got sick and really just the path to his partial recovery that he finally has now. But of course he is still on the healing journey because he was miss diagnosed for so long the Lyme disease just ravaged so much of his immune system not to mention all the stuff he took and all the things he attempted that might of helped him if he had killed the Lyme first but instead made him so much worse. Having watched it! It is one hell of a journey. Some reactors don’t think it’s appropriate to react to and others have. I think it’s fine either way. But I think you should definitely see it just to really understand what REN went through! It’s heartbreaking but we know he’s come out the other side now so at least you kinda know how the story ends for this moment here n now.

REN- TROUBLES [Intro: Vera Hall] Ooh Lordy, troubles so hard Repeating [Verse] I don't reach into the past very much For these shards of shattered glass and harsh paper cuts Leave me stuck when I reach in memories are seeped in hydrochloric acid I go to war and get passive and freeze up But music helped the ice to thaw Put a chisel in the middle swing the hammer of Thor Pull it out of the impossible, excalibur sword Etching note pads full of reasons why my feelings arе sore The first day that I got sick ejеcted from cockpit of living Nineteen, young teen, waking up bitten Posters up, manhunt, Ren went missing Hard to have faith when the gods don't listen The first year maybe was the hardest Waking in a body that was buried like a carcass Brain in the lions den, body in a shark pit Waking up in pain again, aching, brokenhearted Persistent little bugger I was bouncing from a doctor To a doctor to a doctor like a table tennis game that has no end So be the fate of Ren Every single question answered with a question on the end The second year I came to terms with giving up my dreams Mind was severed from the means that helped me write these rhyme schemes Brain was inflamed. the fatigue was crushing Hard to remain sane with your brain combusting And the third year was murder, living in a purga- Tory full of worry, wouldn't live to be thirty Lifestyle hurt me, always in my bed tomb Re-arrange the alphabet and all the letters spell "doom" Light hurt my eyes, popping pills to survive When you're twenty-three and mentally you steadily decline Twenty-four I was poor, disability benefits What's the benefit of disability? It's irrelevant Twenty-five and the scars that were etched, they cracked Elastic bands only stretch so far and then snap Deep in psychosis, hallucinations, troubled vision Visits from the underworld were conjuring my superstition Twenty-five, living back at home with my mum But not because I'm a bum, alone and physically done So thin, so frail, so weak I'd become And my skin so pale, never kissed by the Sun One time I carved a whole in my chest, just to feel I wish that was a metaphor, the struggle was real When you're living in a holocaust you buckle and kneel There's relief in the teeth of the kiss of cold steel Facts, twenty-six I'm highly medicated and the pain sophisticated While I'm laying broke and naked on my back I brought my microphone into my coffin, started droppin' Raw thoughts with the grim reaper knocking on the track Then man, lo and behold I heard an angel beckon on this treacherous road Was a stem cell doctor with a generous glow And a cell transplant brought me out of the cold And my skin got younger and my body got stronger And my stomach felt hunger for a door that was closed And my soul heard music for the first time Beauty was a word I'd use for this gift of gold Oh Lord, I forgive you, Lord I forgive you Lord, I forgive you, make me whole This music I give you, pain that I live through Everything I've been through is yours to hold

Ren posted this video, just before Hi Ren was released: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJLPpZiefcSWhNE I'm not sure if it's something you'd want to react to, but it's worth watching to understand what he was going through. It was filmed quite sometime before Hi Ren came out, when he was going through one of his really low points. He explains it in the details he posted alongside the video. It's quite eye opening, both the video and the comments in conjunction.
Really enjoyed watching your Ren series guys. I have to say Ren has reinvigorated my interest in music, there was so much bland stuff around before he hit the scene. You should check out Power as well unless I missed that one 👍🍺

Moby sample he paid for and add his twist. Moby got that from Vera hall who came from the slave family they used to sing that song about. Hope the Moby video is awesome. Actually he’s actually a wheelchair. Kind of like Hi Ren interestingly enough. But he has mentioned that Vera Hall song has impacted his life greatly. Of course he can’t relate to slavery, but he can relate to extreme struggle and relying on hope. Pumpin His pain. I think this one’s more about spreading the message but he’s definitely gonna be making a couple of dollars as well. Unfortunately, the line that we all wish was a metaphor is the one that isn’t in the battle of psychosis in an alleyway just to check if he was even real or alive anymore the hospitalized for cutting his chest I guess he was relieved to feel the pain because he knew he was still alive. That’s tough not many people would’ve made it through 10 years of that shit even he said he wouldn’t of made it through more than two if it weren’t for Joe taking his life, because of the impact that had Joe‘s mom and he couldn’t put his own mother through that so you just have to wait for the disease to kill him, but she was sure would be relatively soon anyway. But another seven or eight years lie ahead. Damn. Oddly that treatment was $25,000 and the doctor only did it because his son was a struggling and shit as well and wanted Ren to document his story in exchange. That was in Los Angeles. I think that Rodeo Drive, and since then he has been closed down for being sued an apparently corruption of some sort. And there’s very very few of them in the United States. That’s why he’s in Canada now, and Canada is much cheaper than their healthcare system isn’t broken like ours. Unfortunately it’s much more shit than good but Wynn said he will always be an angel to him. So you know that there is always two sides to every story, but I’m sure at that price and apparently he was way overbooked. I’m sure the lawsuits started like raping fire. It’s unfortunate but most athletes go to like Germany or Switzerland to get these treatments, but certainly not for free. All you guys have to do is watch his eight part chapters that led up to the release of this song that he released every other day it tells the entire story I think it even said in the description, you should definitely check them out. He just wrote it in the last month and sits in front of the camera and speaks for about 30 minutes each chapter and closes it with a video or song.
