The best way to defang the right wing is this: have a referendum on immigration & asylum policy, and work to achieve the results of that referendum, whatever it is. If the result is pro-immigration/pro-asylum, then the right wing is not the majority. If the vote is anti-immigration/anti-asylum, then that's the majority and everyone else has to deal with that. It just seems like the best strategy is to officially gauge the temperature of the country with an actual, official vote of the people, and then work from there.

There is a good case for a civilised society to consider implementing a maximum wage or some form of control over the wealth one person or corporation can use to influence political decisions. Simply for the good of the health of society, in much the same way that a minimum wage should seek to preserve the cohesion of society.

Elon Musk sits on a huge platform and has more power than just a few other people on the planet. Without any democratic base for that power nor methods of accountability. Because of this he should be very careful what he say and do. And NOT behave like a narcissistic teenager with delusions of grandeur that express opinions on issues that he a) know nothing about b) have no competence within c) there is a risk that his words cause damage. It's about time that social media is regulated as every other publishers. Its a discussion within the EU already and I hope for the sake of all humanity that stronger regulations becomes a reality.
