This answers this verse that Muslims use against Christians also John 20:17 - Jesus distinguishes His relationship to the Father from our relationship by saying “My Father and your Father.” - Jesus speaks from His Divine nature - "My God and your God." - Jesus human nature once again.

I finally found Jesus Christ. I commented on this channel some months ago, how after years of studying all kinds of worldviews and after reading all the holy books of the different world religions, I felt that I was somehow drawn to Jesus. I was an Atheist for most of my life until I realised that pure Atheism is irrational. I became agnostic. I've been agnostic for some months now. Until I started praying. It felt weird at first. But the more I pray the more I feel a connection to Jesus. He has sent me several signs, that I could not longer be blind to. On one occasion I prayed and asked him just for a little sign that he even exists. The next day I randomly met a priest after work. We started having a deep and long conversation. When it was time to split apart for each of us going their way again, he gave me a book about Jesus, that describes how you find happines through the relationship with him. I had never experienced something like that before. And right now I'm living through a really hard time. I pray every day that he gives me the strength I need to get through it. Today he gave me another strong sign and answered my prayers. He showed me exactly what I needed to see.

Jesus is God because He is the Son of God the Father, just like a son of an animal is also an animal. The Father and the Son are equal in essence, nature or being because they are both God but the Father is greater in authority because the Son came from the Father and the Father sent the Son. Before everything was created and before Jesus came down from heaven and took the human flesh through Mary, Jesus was already existing with the Father in eternity past, both the Father and the Son Jesus created everything, please read Genesis 1:26, Isaiah 9:6, Proverbs 30:4, Psalms 110:1, John 1:1-3, 14, Hebrews 1:8, Philippians 2:5-8, Colossians 1:12-17. And Jesus himself claimed to be God in John 8:56-58 and Revelation 1:17-18 like the Father did in Exodus 3:14 and Isaiah 48:12. They both said that they are the "i am and the first and the last" which means they are God. And the Holy Spirit is also God, He was also with the Father and the Son before everything was created and together, the 3 of them created everything, please read Genesis 1:1-2 and Genesis 1:26, Job 33:4, Acts 5:3-4, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:21-22 John 14:16-26 and Ephesians 2:18.

But then such ignorance cannot have been present in a prophet. He got very close to the answer when he mentioned that it is like a wedding. In those times, a man would select his betrothed, but before he could marry her, he would have to prepare a place for them. In that culture, only the father could approve the residence after it was built. (Otherwise the groom would build something quickly and it would fail). After the father approved of the residence, only then could the groom go receive his bride. Sound familiar? Jesus told his apostles "I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, there you may be also." He's preparing that place for them. When His Father approves it, then it is time for Him to collect His Bride.

What that Muslim fails to understand is that when Jesus was born in the flesh, he imposed on himself the same human limitations that the rest of us have.

He wasn't divine per the very Bible in which you profess knowledge. While I'm grateful for the good works, accountability, and morals that Christianity teaches ...Jesus was a false Messiah, per the very Bible in Christians profess knowledge. The Bible is clear, when Christ/Messiah comes: 1 - He will not be divine 2 - The entire world will worship God, and know he is the only true God 3 - There will be no more war These prophets, in which Christians claim 100% validity, state that we can recognize the Messiah when all of the following take place during the Messianic Age: Ezekiel Building of the final Temple that will stand forever in Jerusalem Deuteronomy 30:1-5 Return of the lost tribes to Israel Daniel 12:2 Resurrection of the dead Isaiah 11:9, 10 Knowledge of God throughout the world, and obedience to God Isaiah 2:4 Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. None of the above happened 2000 years ago/ Jesus fulfilled no prophecies Result? Church leaders after the year 100 invented ..."Jesus, The Return" aka The Second Coming. Then in 325, the Church invented the Trinity at the Council of Nicaea. Yet the Bible explicitly states that God will never be split into parts, and only God is to be worshiped. Intermediaries are not permitted. Including worship of, or prayers to, the Messiah, Mary, angels, or dead men and women, aka Saints. --- Isaiah 7:14 in Christian Bible - Therefore the Lord himself WILL give you a sign: The VIRGIN WILL conceive and give birth to a son, and WE will call him Immanuel. Here's the real text, in original Hebrew - Behold, the YOUNG WOMAN IS with child, and she IS bearing a son, and SHE shall call his name Immanuel. Church translators deliberately changed the present tense in Hebrew, to future. And changed the Hebrew world for "young woman", into "virgin". Why did they only mistranslate "young woman" once? They got it correct in the 20+ other times "young woman" appeared in the Old Testament. To deceive. To make the Jewish Bible appear to support Christianity. It doesn't.

God is real. The universe follows laws of physics because the 1 God far beyond is is literally governing it and using the rule of law and order. If it were not for universal laws of physics and the correct orders the universe would not exist at all. It is governed like a motor with an rpm govenor to limit its speed. Earth revolving the sun once we call it a year, rotating once a day 365 rotations is a year. If the universe were random happenstance all the LAWS from FAR BEYOND literally GOVERNING IT would be wrong and youd see earth revolving around the sun at totally random number of days per year and every day on earth would spin at a different rate but thats a recipe for universal disaster there is actually a logical intelligent govering of the universe through law and order so that everything happens at the correct rates so the story can unfold as it was all designed with a long anchient plan predating the existance of the universe before any physical matter existed within it at all. If the universe wasnt perfectly engineered so everything was happening how it was the gravitational force of an object wouldnt be directly proportional to its mass. These things are linked together for a reason an atom of hydrogen has to have 1 valence electron its all particularly designed in a way we cant even alter duento how its all based on universal laws of physics that originate from before the big bang even happened. We onlt discovered them but the universe was following them from before the beggining of the big bang.

The best explanation I've heard to this kind of an argument is that the Bible originally was not composed of chapters and verses but instead was a continuous script. The divisions were made as a simple convenience in order to make it simpler to find your way through it. Therefore, in order to understand what you are reading you cannot simply cherry pick verses and assign meaning to them without understanding the entire context.
@mysotiras213 ай бұрын
You are correct. We have Cardinal Stephen Langton, a Medieval scholar, to thank for the chapters. An early modern scholar called Robert Stephanus gave us the versification.
@trevinodude28 күн бұрын
@@RVGrannyWA Indeed. It’s like having a historical journal of it going, in detail, about what people have said throughout history. Surely, said journal would not be separated naturally into chapters, but it does later to enhance understanding… but quotes shouldn’t be taken out of context to give a new assigned meaning. Just like Bible verses, you can’t reassign meaning Bible verses. You must know the context to properly utilize the Word of God.

Tbf to Muslims their holy book doesent really have a lot of context for much of anything it says. It just SAYS stuff, it jumps from topic to topic. And nothing it says is particularly deep it’s something anyone can read once and understand what it’s saying. Muslims don’t have to deal with any complex textual studying of a book, so when they read the Bible all they know is reading something by itself without the context of anything that came before or after. And anyways most Muslims don’t read their Quran anyways, but even if they did there’s not a lot of reading comprehension necessary for it.

This Muslim's claims could answered by referring him to Philippians 2:5-11 and Hebrews 2:6-10. These passages clearly show that Jesus gave up access to his divinity to live as a man amongst us, which also explains why his knowledge of future events was limited. *Philippians 2:5-11* _Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father._ *Hebrews 2:6-10* _It has been testified somewhere, "What is man that thou art mindful of him, or the son of man, that thou carest for him? Thou didst make him for a little while lower than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honor, putting everything in subjection under his feet." Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. As it is, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for every one. For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering._

In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. The Quran, muslims believe, is Allah's words, literally, send down to "Mohammed". Surah 54.1 tells us the end is nigh, that was back in the 7C. If that's Allah speaking, as muslims believe, then not only does He not know the day, but Allah got it wrong, and cannot actually be God. Uthman knows this, but does not apply the logic that he wants to apply to Jesus. In Surah 54, there is no explanation for Allah's mistake, if the Quran really is Allah's words, as Uthman believes.

Ellen G. White commented on the text from Mark 13:32, which reads: "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." This verse refers to the second coming of Christ and emphasizes that no one knows the exact day or hour of Jesus' return. In her writings, particularly in the book "The Desire of Ages", White explains that during His earthly life, Jesus, in His human form, voluntarily gave up certain divine knowledge. This means that Jesus, in His human nature, did not know certain things because He subjected Himself to the limitations of humanity. This includes the exact time of His return. Ellen White emphasizes that the reason Jesus, as well as the angels in heaven, did not know the exact time was to encourage believers to be constantly watchful and prepared. She stresses that it was not in God's plan to reveal the precise time of His coming but that we should live each day as though Christ could return at any moment. In her works, such as "Maranatha: The Lord is Coming", she warns against speculating about the timing of the second coming. Instead, believers should focus on the signs of the times that indicate Christ's imminent return without trying to pinpoint the exact date. In summary, Ellen White writes that the ignorance about the day and hour of Jesus' second coming is a means to keep believers vigilant and ready, and no one should attempt to determine the exact time.

I think that what people don’t realize is that God is so unlike us and so beyond us, that some of His characteristics can’t be understood by our human mind. I believe that He is able to keep some information to only part of Himself, and not disclose it to the rest of the Trinity. This is why He is God, because He is so magnificent. Our problem is that once He does something or says something that our humanity cannot comprehend, we discredit Him, instead of revering Him. People also forget that He is a real, living being currently existing, so if people have a question about something He said, they don’t think to just ask Him in prayer to clarify.
@KB-kx4ym3 ай бұрын
Well said. We must always remember we are finite beings trying to understand an infinite God. There will always be things we cannot comprehend and that will remain a mystery until He chooses to allow us to understand it. I agree it’s very possible for the Trinity to function in ways we may not be able to understand. But that is not enough to discount the abundance of information and evidence He has provided us in His Word.
@Joanne_uk3 ай бұрын
Well said! Instead of humbling ourselves and admitting our finite minds can not fully grasp God and divine things we tend to try to spin it to fit our understanding. We try to put God in a box which is incredibly disrespectful and insulting.

Only Jesus saves from hell (Acts 4:12 KJV). Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). Jesus Christ shed His blood for our sins (Ephesians 1:7 KJV). Water baptism DOESN'T save us (1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV). We are saved by grace through faith, not our works (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).
@michaellam98193 ай бұрын
@ROMANS3-25KJV I'm going to stop you right there king. That verse you quoted had nothing to do with baptism not saving us. But yes, baptism does not solely save us but it wipes away our sins. All must be baptised in water. As for your last line, please take care to elaborate more on that. No one deserves salvation and no one can ever do anything to earn God's grace. It is only through our faith and love for him. But if love Him, we follow his commandments and do the things he has commanded, and when we don't we won't be saved.
@michaellam98193 ай бұрын
My brother in Christ, keep reading. As Peter spoke, the holy spirit descended onto the Gentiles who listened and they were enlightened. These enlightened gentiles were then baptised after. The Great Commission set by Jesus to his Apostles is to go and baptise in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus even tells Nicodemus in John 3, that unless you are REBORN of water and spirit, you cannot enter the kingdom of God. Please look into it brother, you can only gain from water baptism. Only thing you would lose is your sins, as they will be forgotten.
