I am a revert to islam since a year now alhamdulilah. After 6 months of embracement I was ready to claim to everyone that I am muslimah. I live in the middle of the Europe (Poland) where 80% of people are islamophobic. After winterbreak I just put my headscarf on and went to school. Everyone were staring at me, talking about me, some were mocking by screaming at me ''Explosive girl !'' or ''Allahu Akbar !''. I ignored them with a smile and me and everyone used to my hijab after some time. So With time I became accepted and alhamdulilah I am safe and sound. I am the only one muslimah in my family, so my mom was worrying if nothing wrong could happen to me by my statement. Indeed Allah is the protector of believers and if sth is doing in Allah's sake then u may be sure, you're blessed and protected. Don't be afraid and wear it proudly

@yasmeen7048 жыл бұрын
makeup is worn to make women happy. they wear it for themselves and not to attract men. although, some women may wear makeup for attraction from a male, most women wear makeup to make themselves happy and feel good about themselves. it's not like when they have a females- only party they don't wear makeup. they do and they probably don't wear the hijab so they style their hair too.

ur correct. women r not allowed to pluck their eyebrows in islam . and al of these Girls have plucked theyre brows. and when it is said to cover ur self than we have to more than just wrapping ourself With clothes. its not like that u can wrap urself from head to toe but People can see ur figure. u have to cover ur figure (muslims).when i see u i'm reffering to all muslim women including myself. whe have to wear loose clothes not thight. and when wearing hijab u have to cover ur body as well as ur hear. meaning ur neck, ears, and ofc ur hair. so muslim women like myself can only show feet, hands and face. and i am not sure about makeup. for example surma is allowed for men. and men also have to cover themselves. from knees to bellybutton. and guys plz dont argue With me i'm just saying what is said in islam i'm saing the truth and if u want more info about islam then read the quran not what is said about islam online. For me I respect others religion because what's wrong with believing in ur religion? And I agree, religion has constantly been manipulated to suit powerful ppl needs. Everyone has something they believe in. And I agree with these girls. They respect your religion and they also respect yours like why can't everyone just know that there's nothing wrong with believing in something else? And all these things I said r what I believe in. Freedom in religion. And not just believe everything the media says, even if they're your only source of information but because u weren't there when it happened. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. Islam isn't a violent religion, they were simply portayed that way by the ISIS not the ppl who believe in Islam. Always take a grain of salt when you read something.

to non believers - Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help." Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority". This speaks directly of polytheists, yet it also includes Christians, since they believe in the Trinity (ie. what Muhammad incorrectly believed to be 'joining companions to Allah'). Quran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks." Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle. against gay people - Quran (7:80-84) - "...For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.... And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)" - Bukhari (72:774) - "The Prophet cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men, and he said, 'Turn them out of your houses .' The Prophet turned out such-and-such man, and 'Umar turned out such-and-such woman." ( that is in the hadith) wife beating - Quran (4:34) - "Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great." Contemporary translations sometimes water down the word 'beat', but it is the same one used in verse 8:12 and clearly means 'to strike'. Quran (38:44) - "And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with it, and do not break your oath..." Allah telling Job to beat his wife (Tafsir). there are many more in hadith with more of those verses. as there are many good verses. but do you really think it is a good idea , worshiping an ideal made by a man who is a pedophile , warlord and a jew hater . Aisha narrated that the Prophet married her when she was six years old, and he consummated her in marriage when she was nine years old. Then she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).he also met his third wife in a jewish village he massacred and had sex with her , the same day he killed her parents . i am really sorry but i was a muslim once too and imagine my face when i saw those facts . the things they preach at the mosque and the behind the scenes stuff are completely different. when i tried to confront the people in the mosque, they did not deny it , even the wife beating . some deny it but do you know what its called . taqiya. look up that word and its perfectly acceptable for muslim people use it when faced confrontations.

+Super duper tuper maybe the quotes from the religion R like that but I have Muslim friends and they R not violent nor evil or whatsoever. U can't just judge someone or deem them violent based on their religion.
@superdupertuper96408 жыл бұрын
that is exactly what i meant . the good muslim people that i know and that you know of are people who are decent in nature to the core and has good upbringings by great parents and its surroundings. it is not because of the religion that they are decent people . but there is no denying that islam is pretty violent compared to that of others . over 58 % of the people in malaysia as reported accepts people who commits adultery and people who are gay ,stoned in public.they do it because the quran says so . they dont dare question the morality of the behaviour and that is evil. but regardless of that fact , if they were just to be educated with decent humanity and kindness , that sort of thing would not happen.

Me and my mom and grandma wear scarves in the winter on our heads in a similar way (usually wool, cashmere, or half acrylic) usually taking them off once indoors. But one time I kept mine on on a particular cold day when I went into school. No one really stared, there are a few Muslim girls who where hijabs at school and I know one of them -she's very sweet- so no one should be surprised. but someone that I had known since the beginning of the year came up to me and asked me immediately, "are you a Muslim!?" I didn't respond immediately, the way he asked wasn't just surprised it was rude, as though that would somehow make me a different person than I was yesterday. "why? Would that make you uncomfortable? Do you have a problem with my first amendment right to follow any religion?" He looked away. "Uh, no..?" I walked away and kept it on till I got to first period where the teacher who knew me to be Christian and my parents to be Mexican and African American said "no hats, no bandanas, no hoods, no scarves, not my rules" and I pulled it down like I had planned to. I haven't spoken to that kid since. It's been like 9 months. And I'd be flattered to be mistaken as a Muslim thank you very much, middle eastern women are quite beautiful.

Kristen Brand hey! Although ik ur not talking to me, I think I can answer your question since I’m Muslim :) back when prophet Mohamed was alive, his wife wore a head scarf because all prophets’ wives had to for modesty. For us, being modest is important. It never says you have to wear a head scarf in the Quran but a lot of women do because they want to be modest. It is a personal choice that depends on how modest you want to be, if your personal beliefs are that a head scarf is for everyone or just the wives of the prophets and if you feel it will help your connection with god. It’s a personal choice, I don’t wear it and my family members don’t either but I know people who do

People who r saying that women wear hijab so they don’t catch men’s eye I wasn’t taught like that When I first started wearing the head scarf I was told that When u do this do this for Allah an nobody Do this to show ur faith in him That ( for me to ) a women’s hair is her confidence that it is a beauty that was given to us and all of us have the pleasure to show it off but when we cover we show Allah that our pleasure does not come before our faith towards him And I have to say it feels good At first it kinda made me a little down but now it gave me a big boost of confidence because when I wear it I don’t care bout my surroundings and I know I’m doing some good to earn heaven in the after life May we all earn the way to heaven InshAllah! No it's not because not to catch men's eye. The hijab verse in Qur'an goes like. "Tell men to lower their gaze, dress properly." Then next verse goes. "Tell woman to lower their gaze, dress properly, stretch their headcover towards their chest" That's all.

As a Muslim, I'm a tad bit irritated that there r less comments about how this is a step forward for Muslims and more about criticism about the way they choose to wear it. I understand that we all look at it differently but can we get more comments about the great and brave thing they r doing by putting themselves out there to further the message that Islam is peace.Their intentions r pure so we should support them.

***** Egypt does not apply Sharia in full. It is only applied in family matters at this point. Article 2 of Egypt's 2014 Constitution declares the principles of Islamic Sharia to be the main source of legislation.[22] Egypt's law and enforcement system are in flux since its 2011 Revolution;[23] however, the declaration of Sharia's primacy in Article 2 is a potential ground for unconstitutionality of any secular laws in Egyptian legal code.[24] Sharia courts and qadis are run and licensed by the Ministry of Justice.[25] The personal status law that regulates matters such as marriage, divorce and child custody is governed by Sharia. In a family court, a woman’s testimony is worth half of a man’s testimony. Countries that do apply sharia in full are the following: Mauritania, Sudan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Maldives, Pakistan, Qatar, Yemen, Nigeria (Sharia states). Egypt is not one of them, in Egypt is a mix of State law and Sharia law, and sharia is not applied in full. Some examples of full typical sharia injunctions: i) The application of barbaric bodily punishments, such as stoning, amputation of limbs, crucifixion, or flagellation; ii) A Muslim killer of a non-Muslim cannot get capital punishment; iii) Non-Muslim's court testimony cannot be accepted against a Muslim; iv) Child marriage upon reaching puberty; and v) *Deployment of "Virtue and Vice Police"* And another source to support what I said that Egypt is not controlled by Sharia: "The Egyptian government, aware of the threat radical Islam poses to the state, has been fighting Islamism for years. In January 2015, in a speech to the country’s clerics, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi urged Islam to modernize and reject its radical and fundamentalist tendencies. He has also continued in former president Hosni Mubarak’s footsteps and banned the Muslim Brotherhood. This has resulted in the arrest and prosecution of hundreds of adherents to the Islamist movement, *which has been calling for Sharia law since its founding in 1928.*" But it's not over yet, if the people of Egypt will insist on having a Sharia controlled legislation in full then you my darling you will not be able to choose if you wear or not the scarf, it will be imposed on you and the Sharia police will make sure you are punished if you do not wear your head scarf or possibly burka in a full sharia legislation. So there you go, I have demonstrated that in Egypt you have a choice because you are not under full Sharia. More evidence: "The veil was rare in the Middle East’s cities and towns in the 1970s, but mass migration from the countryside-where it was often worn for traditional rather than religious reasons-made it more common. Several countries have attempted to regulate Muslim attire. Turkey banned traditional dress-for men-in the 1930s;" "Egyptian women started shedding the veil as a sign of resistance to the deeply unpopular Muslim Brotherhood, which ruled for just over a year after the fall of Hosni Mubarak in 2011." "The wearing of religious veils in the country is a deeply divisive issue. Whilst *many clerics believe it to be obligatory in Islam*, some academics dispute this and argue that its roots lie in cultural tradition rather than having a theological basis. In 1994, the Egyptian government revised school uniform legislation to forbid girls under the age of 12 from covering their hair. However, the law provoked fierce debate and accusations that the move was un-Islamic. The Supreme Court ruled the ban unconstitutional in 1996. *In March of 2015, the issue gained national attention again when a teacher beat a girl and cut off a lock of her hair because she did not wear a hijab to class."* "In the 1970s, young women did not bother to cover their arms, legs or hair. Two decades later, the same women now urge their daughters to wear a hijab, which has become a symbol of a good Muslim woman. In other words, *hijab isn’t a personal choice anymore; it has become an Islamic dress code* supported by the community."

There was a comment below that said that the girl in the purple headscarf 'dresses like a Tart on the Street and this is NOT an example of hijab'. ....THIS kind of comment illustrates that people can exist under an umbrella term (e.g. muslim/islam) that others (Westerners) apply but have completely and totally different views. The difference between these views, ideologies, religious principles creates confusion and bigotry. The difference between these things is what we need to talk about to better understand others.... and to better understand our own perspective.

V's High Notes Very good points and observations! With how you said it, I agree that it would've been positive addition to include a woman who was wearing a traditional hijab in order to express an even more complete acceptance of muslim culture. I will say however that with fashion magazines, it is their job to accentuate the artistic aspects of clothing and that they ultimately meant more good than harm in using such stylized scarves. It's just wonderful that these young women have the platform to speak on their lives, especially with so many countries and people's aggressive attempts to oppress them.

Wearing a hijab should be a choice that you make for God for yourself no one comes between that. So I have been removing the scarf every chance I get when I'm not with my parents. I started taking it off since 8th grade now I'm a freshman in college , it really sucks. I usually just wear it just from house to house, and my family and I never really celebrated eid much after my grandmother passed away. I've only worn a baju kurung uniform for school. so I was really really nervous about going into town in a baju kurung. and thank god the people were so nice about it. some people didn't even know I was muslim until i wore the baju kurung. and they were like "oh I didn't know that! you should wear it more often!" and praise to allah, I was doing it for my mom because she was really shy about wearing the baju kurung, and she got the most compliments during that day. she wore it again the next day to another place. Its not the same as the hijab but it was a step closer. It felt liberating ✨

@tcrcabruiz51728 жыл бұрын
First of all, I beg your pardon if I offended you. Of course, I am nobody to tell people what to wear. I don’t want to do that, please, it is not my intention. Of course, it is every woman’s choice. Or is a cultural choice? Sorry, but I can’t avoid being critic. I am a religious person too, but there are many things I don’t understand. I have studied Muslim Art in my degree and my country has Muslim past. I live in the south of Europe, so the relation with countries as Marocco is very strong since long time ago. And I am going to talk about this case because it is the only case I have near to me. I understand that you can cover yourself because it is cold or hot. The Hijab is really useful for this. But I am not talking about this. I am talking about there are 35-40º in summer in my country and while the men are with shorts and T-Shirts, the women have to wear very heavy clothes. They are not rich women or models or whatever like in the video, they are normal workers, and they are not using long and cool cotton clothes for the hot. No. They are wearing even jackets! While men are absolutely perfect getting some fresh air! Sorry, but I don’t understand it. I think you can wear decent and cool clothes at the same time. But this is just a thought, an opinion, I can be wrong. It is just something that I don’t understand. Muslim girls use to say that to wear hijab and long clothes it is a way of protection against men, against obscenity, against lustful eyes, against objectification of women. Ok, I agree that some Western advertising have turned women into sexual objects, of course, this is not good as well. But we have to find out something in the middle. I don’t know what to think, this is all. But there is always this thing in my mind: if I have to hide my body from the eyes of men, does it mean that it is my fault? Is it my fault to be like that? Why can I have cool clothes in summer as men? If they have lustful eyes, why should I be punished? We should work more in them, in men’s thoughts. I don’t know. I am confused and it’s hard for me to understand it. The Hijab is ok. They are proud of theirs roots. This is very beautiful, but the clothes… in summer… Ok, it is their choice. But a pitty it is not the men’s choice as well.
@finevocalsonly8 жыл бұрын
This is not 'hijab', they are wearing a headscarf like the 2nd girl said. :) Hijab in its arab definition is more like a curtain, which defines modesty. And when referred to in the Qu'ran, the proper way to cover yourself is portrayed by the word 'khilmar' (veil) which is way more than just a headscarf ! I was never forced to put on a headscarf either even though my mum wears it as well as most of my aunts (some don't). I come from a Muslim country but they are very lax about religion, freemix, hijab... I really want to wear it tho. May Allah increase our knowledge and guide and keep us all in the straight path ❤

not all women have this choice. in many muslim countries women wish they could be free. Also it is surprising how many muslims are hating on other muslims for their choices. Man have had the leading role in life in most cultures, not only islamic cultures. Now it is the time to let them know their watch has ended :) they are used to tell women what they think, when all they should do is lower their gaze instead of telling women how they should dress not to "provoke" them. I think the number one thing everybody should do in their life is not praying to god, not going to mekka or wear a piece of cloth on your head, but actually being a good person, not doing what you dont want others to do to you. Being a good person is much more important than all the other "rules" - what it matters if a girl does wear a hijab if she is hateful or jealous or something? wouldnt you guys value a person who is always kind, helping others, etc, - and not wearing a scarf or not praying? If wearing a scarf and believing to "the right god" - like all religions say - is more important then I dont want to have anything to do with any of it... :/ unfortunatelly "devoted" religious men (not even only muslim, christians too) are often very controlling and they dont realize many things :/

The fact that men control women is not religious but cultural and sadly it doesn't exist only in Muslim countries .. and yes there are countries where women should wear hijab in the low .. but that's cultural and traditional matter , religion has nothing to do with it .. in Islam we are asked to be good , kind , helpful , understanding , and open-minded not only do 5 prayers a day or just wear hijab .. you doing something and neglecting the other dosen't say anything about Islam but it says a lot about you .. we don't see many women ruling these days not because Islam forbids them but culture and miss understanding and miss leading of religion does .. now we are mixing with what is religiously forbidden and what is culturally impropete .. and as woman I think it's sad .. other than that , hijab is not just a piece of clothing you put on your head , it comes with lots of responsabilities and it's a way to express yourself and define your identity .. and it's a freewill deal .. a person who wears hijab doesn't define Islam, Quran does .. I hope you get the opportunity to read it and understand its beautiful meanings and you will be amazed by its richness and the power message of peace that it brings .. peace be upon u ❤

Just because some of the sisters have their head covered, they think that the requirement of Hijaab is fulfilled. They don’t realize that wearing a Hijaab requires much more than just covering your head. Actually, if you think about it, Hijaab is the way you talk…..the way you walk….the very way you carry yourself. In fact, Hijaab is an attitude in itself. Its a whole way of life. You can’t wear tight jeans and a short shirt with a piece of cloth on your head and think this is Hijaab. Nor can you wear anything else that is tight, describing the shape of the body in any way, even if it is long. The dress should not be such that it attracts men's attention to the woman's beauty. Allaah clearly states “not to display their beauty (zeenah).Wearing make up is also part of the zeenah that Allaah orders us NOT to display.

Niqabis might think I'm not wearing proper hijab, for example. But, honestly, these girls are doing a great job, in my opinion. Esp, when compared to the society we are living in. I'd like to see you come over here to Saudi arabia and say all of that. Cause as soon as your plane enters the country's aircraft landing runway, you are expected to wear the hijab otherwise the airport security will instruct you to do so. And if you take it off publicly, you're going to get in trouble with the muslim police.

Ma A Do some research?!?! I LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF MAKKAH! and frequent Jeddah's Tahlia, Hail and Bawadi districts and sometimes Red sea mall. And every time I see a woman not covering, people and families will stare at her, and is likely to be strongly urged by the mutawaeen (The Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice. Or some like to call them islamic religious police.) To put on the full islamic garb, which is the abaya and the hijab. Thankfully the occurrence of women not wearing their hijab is very low, making the instance of the religious police intervening low. But lately I've noticed there are cases of leniency in Jeddah, which is why I am assuming you thought what I stated is not true.. I'll give you that. But if you were in the city of makkah, I highly doubt you'd be able to walk around 1 minute without wearing the FULL islamic garb, which even includes covering the face and even the hands.

The purpose of Hijab is to protect and safe guard our dignity from wrong intentions of (some) men. This includes various forms of sexual abuse and harassment which has always been very common. The Hijab sends a signal to men that the ‘wearer’ is a modest and a chaste woman who should not be bothered or even looked at with an immoral intention

I'll sum up what I usually say and believe in the right way of allah by saying that Zahra Al-Alawi explains it best when it comes to the importance of the hijab in islam. A muslim sister is supposed to guard her beauty by keeping it hidden. Not flaunt it with pointless heavy makeup, jingling jewelry and tight curve showing clothing in public. This teen vogue is really pushing to westernize and lead muslim women astray from the right path of allah.

It is very sad to me, to hear a muslim woman say that muslim woman are not opressed and that she is not different from other muslim woman. You ARE. You live in the western world. Do you know how woman live in Saudi Arabia? It is definitely not a problem WITH ISLAM and the religion itself. But still, saying those things is not accepting nor helping the harsh reality other women live. So sad :(
@EnyaFarina8 жыл бұрын
Hi6867 We, as western woman are very priviliged woman. Nothing is perfect, at all. But it is the best place in the world to be a girl. I am also not saying that ALL muslim woman live opressed; but some do. So to say that they don't exist is just really sad to me. I clarified that it is not a problem with the religion itself; but if you're part of it, and part of the priviliged world, you should talk about it and fight to change it. Not ignore it. And, excuse me, but there are pretty BIG cons. You can't compare beeing killed to objectification. Just the way you can't compare raped with cat calling.
@EnyaFarina8 жыл бұрын
Hi6867 I'm not focusing on the islamic world, it's just this video is about that specifically. My point is that a muslim woman shouldn't say that muslim woman aren't opressed. Just like, in general, any woman who denies the superiority of man is a problem worldwide, is very, very blind to what happens in this globe. That's it. Not trying to be controversial nor trying to mess with the religion nor saying it only happens there. :)

@Bara78548 жыл бұрын
+Cegomez For all the haters out there, I have found a very relevant comment made by another on a similar KZbin video and I would like to share it: "I'm covering up because I understand why God wants me to. It's my choice. I cover up because I'm happy and love what I do. I feel protected and confident." You can't handle the fact that she doesn't want to wear the way you want her to dress as, admit it. You just can't handle that she got out of that controlling boundary of men, admit it. You're just mad that you can't comment on how you'd bang her, because she's hot to fill up your egoistic objectifying lust and desire in your mind. Muslim women cover up because it's a command from Allah not because men scolded or told them to do so. Muslim women understand and have experienced what's it like to walk with their Hijab on. So, They actually know the reasons they love wearing it and meaning of it more than you do and if they weren't satisfied with it, they'd get rid of it. Why would many muslim women who live in western countries even wear hijab if it was forced upon them for the record they live in a "free" country? I swear in a world full of Islamophobia muslim women are so brave to even step out of the house and stand firm to what they believe in and dress the way they want to. Most of the people who disliked this video are people who do not agree on the existence of God. Am I right? How can you prove God's non-existence? Do you think the meaning to life is just to be born, learn, get a job, build family and then die forever? I don't care if you don't believe in God but don't disrespect people's belief. Look I'm not going to start an argument about God's existence since I've seen people like you a lot on KZbin. You're what's wrong with the world today. If people are happy with what they believe in, you shouldn't feel troubled with that. If Islam views women as property, why would more than 75% of people who converted to Islam be women?.. Nobody converts to a religion that views them as property!! In the modern society of today, a woman has always been looked upon as just another sexual object for the men. Why should one display one's beauty for unwanted eyes to feast upon? Can't you see all around you? Can't you see how the media, music, porn, movie,.. industry is viewing women like they're some bunch of meats? Can't you see how some women struggle with their insecurities because of what Men wants them to look as? Big ass, big boobs, model face, model fashion....If a woman wears make up she gets negativity, when she takes it off she still receives negativity. If she wears modestly she's a religious idiot. If she wears like YOU want her to dress as, she's a slut. Look at what media is teaching society and its fruits, Treating her like she owes you her beauty, treating her like she owes you perfection, treating her like she owes you her body... Now that's what I call degrading women and viewing them as property. Are you uninformed or you're just deluded by hatred and fear? Do you know that little girls used to be buried alive before Islam was introduced to mankind? Islam highly condemned, forbade and stopped that cruel action. Do you know the status of daughters, wives, sisters, generally women in Islam? Women should be treated like queens with honour and their rights should be respected. Do you know paradise lies at the feet of your mother? Do you know that you can not enter paradise without loving and being good to your mother(who's again a woman)? A man repeatedly asked Muhammad peace be upon him, “Who amongst the people is the most worthy of my good companionship?” Each time, the Prophet (pbuh) replied, “Your mother.” When the man asked for the fourth time, he replied, “Your father.” This goes to show the value of a mother who was, is, will always be a woman. Do you know that both men and women are obliged to seek knowledge in Islam? Do you know women were and are active participants in the functioning of the society. Women expressed and express their opinions freely and their advice was and is sought. And back in time women nursed the wounded during battles, and some even participated on the battlefield. Do you know that the inheritance of wealth for a women was considered some kind of taboo, to an extent that places in Indian sub-continent women were burnt alive after the death of Husbands before Islam was introduced? Islam disciplined this aspect. whether a woman is a wife, mother, sister, or daughter, she receives a certain share of her deceased relative’s property. This share depends on her degree of relationship to the deceased and the number of heirs. And men are required to take the lead in respecting women. They should not engage in or approve of any activity which objectifies or demeans a woman. They are also required to cast down their gazes in humility and to observe the general philosophy of modesty of the heart and dress. They must wear decent clothing and avoid activities and places that will cause them to witness that which they should not. Islam is perfect but muslims are not. The misconceptions of Islam are present because traditions and cultures have overshadowed their way of life. The misconceptions of Islam are present because people hold on to the rope of their polluting cultures and traditions. The misconceptions of Islam are present because people never really do a research. The misconceptions of Islam are present because people's eyes can still see and witness but their hearts are blind and hard as a rock. The misconceptions of Islam are present because media has portrayed Islam to be evil. The misconceptions of Islam are present because people like you believe everything Fox news says, Anti God theorists say and what internet warriors say. You have big misconception about Islam because of fear, arrogance, ignorance and hatred. If you want to learn about Islam do a research. Pick up Qur'an and study. If you want to read Qur'an to only justify that your ideas are right, you'll never find truth. Start looking for answers with a neutral heart and mind. And don't be wasting your youth and time on spreading hatred , ignorance and arrogance. If you want to learn about Islam talk with a scholar, read Qur'an, check out channels like Mercifulservant, Prophets Path, Nouman Ali Khan, ...on KZbin. They're so informative and quite educational. Islam never degraded women but the media has, the music industry has, the society has, culture has, tradition has... Islam actually protects women from men treating them as property. If you want an enlightenment on Hijab and you're maybe curious of the experience of a convert woman before and after she became a Muslim, here is the link www.al-islam.org/nutshell/laws_practices/3.htm Don't make God's existence and his non-existence a competition between those who believe and don't believe. You just make it seem like Atheism is the new religion by contributing critics and arguments and disrespecting others' views to only WIN the debate. He's the only guider. He finds you lost and guides you if it's all meant to be. If you don't want to educate yourself about Islam and find for answers from the knowledgeable and Qur'an, don't make false assumptions that leads you to make others' and your day worse by transferring negativity all around the globe. What this globe needs is positivity and unity. You're in charge of how you feel inside so make sure you make yourself happy. Give your heart and mind a rest. Quit being enslaved to that mental slavery of yours which is hatred and fear. Because as long as it keeps controlling you, you won't find peace of mind no matter what the situation. It keeps haunting you and ruining your inner peace. Don't become another bitter human being. The world is already full of that. Learn to respect others because they clearly won't hurt you by believing in God. Just because they're happy believing in God doesn't mean you have to make them sad. And just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean you have to spread your hate speech. Just because you don't believe in God's existence doesn't mean you're not searching for him. If you keep coming back to saying the same thing (No God) all over again, you clearly haven't found your answer. Your problem isn't with those people who believe in God, the problem is inside of you and you can only solve that. May Allah guide you to the truth."

hiii i like your curiosity and how u reach out to us in the comments instead of getting false information frm unreliable resources :))) but we wear the hijab because our religion admonishes muslim women to wear clothes that are modest to gain respect from man ( so they won't be able to check us out in a sense and instead keep our bodies protected for our deserving husband and husband only ) Islam highly respects woman for all the things they have to go through in life and hopes to avoid women from 'being used' by man and yes ! non-muslims can certainly wear the hijab :) i hope you gained a clearer picture of the hijab :))) have a lovely day hehe
