Nothing disrespectful. In India only when you call someone with respect you add 'ji' at the end. It's not a set criterion to show your respect to someone expect India. As you wrote the phrase ' some such characters ' can also be seen disrespectful by some people. And I've seen Indian youtubers calling Gandhi as pa*dophile and other nasty words but never saw westerners or others showing Gandhi this much disrespect. So, better to focus on the detailed informative part of this podcast & start from home before judging others

What a load of bollocks when she said Sir Syed was not clear on the idea of " QOUM" whether it must be north Indian muslims or bla bla bla ... Point is he was clear on the concept of " UMMAT" so no matter from where the muslims belong they were considered as one nation . And if you are talking of mordern nation state then Islam doesnot allow it that's why there was Khalifa of the muslim world .. Again in 1919 Indian Muslims were agitating for Khilafat in Turkey to established so clearly we can understand where the loyalty lied and Jamia has to be seen in that context . Since Turkey got defeated in ww1 and muslim khilfat was thrown away indian muslims formed an institution to discard British.. Also two nation theory was specifically mentioned by Sur syed in his speeches so she cannot gashlight us when we can clearly read his 1871 speech in Lucknow where he talked of Hindu and Muslims as two different "QAUMEIN". IN regard to " HUSSAIN AHMED MADANI " of Darul deoband you have to be clear that there was tussle between Deobandis and barelvis and madni was deobandi both sects were clear to make India as "DAR-UL-Islam " just method have to be different. Barelvis believed in medina strategy where Pakistan would act as new medina to finally conquer India or Gazwa - e -Hind just like Mohammed himself has done . While Deobandis believed in slow proselytizing through which on e population becomes more than 50 percent ball is in their court !! Goals were same just tactics were different !! So here gashlighting and arguing innuendos doesn't change the facts . Islam is a concept right at the get go where some are Muslims and others are Kaffirs so no amount of composite nationalism can solve it !!

I don’t know from where you borrowed it from, just in case you don’t know the account of what happened in colonial times, after 1857 aggression British regime was stunned to the power of united fromts both muslims and hindus for recapture their land, protesting against colonialists was the major set-back for ‘Qaum’ Sir Syed envisioned for a distinct culture of two groups so he catred his emphasis, and I don’t buy that argument. What Hussain Ahmed Madani referring to Misaq-E-Madinah (Constitution of Medina) where everything was black and white, so there was no room for a debate on sectarian divide. He emphasised and argued that thereof to medina he deliberately conceptualised Composite Nationalism (modern day civic nationalism) which doesn’t hinders any sense of nationalism nor exploits it, and more importantly the set of ideal nationalism we follow is integral nationalism. In it’s nature it doesn’t recognise either you are a hindu or minority, you’re one and that’s that! This made the difference between true socialist secular constitutional democracy to alienate and annexation of religious minorities. Think of it brother, no hate for anyone. Islam says Kufr in other areas which delivers more pathetic ways of learning it and vividly opposing it. non-Muslim is = Kafir that’s it. Don’t extrapolate it.

If she is a researcher, then only God can save research. How do you deconstruct the truth. The simple truth is that the alumni of AMU and JMI conceived Pakistan. Its their Brain-child and of course the British encouraged. Just Look at the whole spectrum of leadership of Muslim league including Jinnah. Even the Pakistanis donot dispute that. One point to be noted is that all Muslims in the colonial period could not vote. But, the alumni of AMU and JMI could and they encouraged every tom Dick and harry to create Pakistan. Now, the only problem or rather dilemma is that the body of Pakistan seperated from India and left the decapitated head in Aligarh. The right thing to do was to shift these institutes brick by brick to Pakistan, where they belong and what they honestly wanted. Instead, they are loitering around, trying same old tricks from time to time.

not only a supporter of Partition (of India) but a champion and I consider it very essential. I find Savarkar's demand for an undivided nation (Akhand Bharat) with both Hindus and Muslims living together a very novice thinking. My only pre-condition is that every single Muslim must be moved to Pakistan and every single Hindu must be moved to India otherwise, the new nation will never be a stable nation which is an essential condition for progress and development. (BR Ambedkar in the book on Pakistan and Partition of India, written 7 years before actual partition. He remained supportive of this statement till the actual partition. it obviously means, in new Independent India, Ambedkar was ok with living with Upper caste Hindus but not with a single Muslim. Interesting. As expected Brahman (Nehru) Bania (Gandhi) party (Congress) considered Dalit intellectual (Ambedkar's) thinking as inferior. The stupidity of Islam apologist Brahman Bania party (Congress) needs to be corrected. We need to follow Abmedkar's design of partition and correct the mistake.
