I visited dubai in the late 90s/early 2000, my father in law had been employed by dubai airport (from Heathrow) to head up organising the baggage part of the 'new' airport (as previously it was tiny and crap) and we went out to visit him. I was shocked at how dubai was a line of glittery building along the strip but right behind those buildings it was basically houses like a slum. That made me feel really uncomfortable as the people are used as cheap labour for the hotels etc. My father in law would only let us go out with him, not that the people were nasty to us. The sheikhs would drive mental on the roads and kill people (by accident) and nothing would happen-a few weeks before we arrived a sheikh had killed an English woman by driving her off the road. I remember we had a day out at jumeria beach club and the 'sail' hotel was being built, there were Indian men being pulled up to the very top of the building only by a rope around their waist, it was horrifying to see but my father in law said it was how they worked over here- they would get cheap Indian labour over to speed up the build and cut health and safety, many died. I would never visit the middle east again- by choice! And I say to family and friends the same. Too many abuses.

First of all I'm pretty sure the person is not Arab and instead is a Indonesian or Malaysian living in a Gulf Arab country as the accent as well as some phrases were said that don't sound Arabic, Secondly, The lady came to work yet isn’t doing her job and has the audacity to ask for money. Think of it like you are in a 9-5 job and you aren’t doing your job and your boss yells at you. He has the right to do so and yet if you ask for money meanwhile if you are doing nothing but sleeping on the job, you don’t deserve to get paid. Simple as that. Keep in mind many of these migrant workers from Asia, South Asia and East Africa come to work VOLUNTARILY and know how some bosses are a bit tough yet they go by their own choice and accept these conditions. I know many middle easterners in the Gulf countries where these types of workers live in under a boss but they must fulfill their work duties and usually people like her VOLUNTARILY came and accepted the conditions of waking up a certain time and doing her job. It seems her boss was yelling at her not because she is from a certain ethnic group but rather because she isn't doing her job WHICH HE PAYS HER FOR. Any boss could react the same way. The first video is made up. The woman holding the camera doesn't speak Arabic and the only word she can say is get up which is qumi قومي and what she said after is gibberish. There are many other authentic videos like the one in Kuwait where a Kuwaiti woman was filming a maid who was trying to escape from the 3 floor of a building while saying crazy crazy and not helping her. She fell afterwards but some miracle saved her.
