I personally agree with AbuTorab with the benefits of wearing a thobe/jubbah. This is bcz if someone was to see you on the streets, they could tell that so and so is a muslim and not a hindu or a jew or something else. But I also agree with brother Zaid cuz they would feel a bit more open.

the sunnah is to wear what the people wear simple, but for women hijab is obligatory and some scholars say niqab is obligatory

Question, how are you guys funding uni and maintenance cus student loan is haram due to interest. Yes you can work part-time time but that's not enough, no way enough. So the question is are you guys on student loan ?

you dont have to take student loans to go to uni. their parents probably pay for it. edit: also scholarships and financial aid out there.

they dont take student loan, i dont know about zaid but abutorab said he doesnt take it and made a video on it on his youtube but i dont think zaid takes it either most people have their parents pay for it if they have enough money or you can just work hard and pay 9000 it is not an impossible task
