Also as a Muslim woman I just want y'all to know that not everyone Muslim woman is the same. I'm Muslim but I'm not as strict or as religious as she is. I would also like to clarify that this woman chooses to be like this and is completely happy. She isn't forcing you or anyone else or herself to be like this. Stop trying to be a white knight , you are not saving her she's fine 💀. Muslim woman don't need saving I assure you . Cant believe I even have to have this conversation with you guys- .
@ivetterodriguez19942 жыл бұрын
Personally, I think it's very patronizing that they call women in more conservative environments straight up "oppressed". Personally, I'm Christan not Muslim but I know people don't just let themselves get walked over on. And many of these things just become a known and routine.
@mascotwithadinosaur93532 жыл бұрын
I'm generally not positive when it comes to religion, but I do have to say, it's weird seeing people suddenly be concerned when it's about Islam. Like, if this video were about Christianity, I probably would've felt the same ("I don't get why anybody does this but ok"), yet I'm 10000% sure the comments wouldn't have been as negative.
@mascotwithadinosaur93532 жыл бұрын
@@ivetterodriguez1994 I have to disagree a bit. Many people do let themselves get walked over. I let myself get walked over all the time. I've seen TV footage of people attending a priest's funeral, and many were saying that they loved him more than they did themselves. I also think religion does have a tendency to lead to some level of oppression. Teaching toddlers to believe in the Bible, for example, is a little oppressive. You are pushing your religion onto someone who not only does not believe said religion, but who also lacks the ability to think about it critically. Now, Idk much about Islam specifically to say anything about it, but I have heard that there are countries (like Iran) where being Muslim is obligatory. If that's true, then that is oppression. And just because something becomes routine, doesn't mean it's good or healthy. Unhealthy environments can become routine. Domestic violence is a situation where danger becomes an everyday thing. But I do agree with part of what you're saying. Most of these people in the comments seem to come from a sense of trying to be a white knight, which just isn't how you get anything done. If these commenters talking about how oppressed this lady is truly care, they should try to platform and support Middle-Eastern voices instead of attempting to talk over them in the way that they're doing. I really hope she doesn't stop sharing things about her religion just because of the mean comments.

A lot of it makes sense because they are actually good suggestions of how to act and behave to keep yourself out of drama, trouble, and a life of regret. These rules they have are put in place for them because of the reality of real life. The part I diverge is that they are rules and forced upon them. Even if I think some of these things are good ways to try to behave, for them to be forced on someone and not have the freedom and free will is the part that I'm not fond of. I believe in the "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" and "unalienable rights". So long as you are not stopping your neighbor from having the same.

Yeah... that depends on the country. In Australia we do not have change rooms or shower rooms in school, so it's not an issue. We don't change clothes specifically for PE. At most schools you wear your PE uniform all day. If we need to get changed you do it in a toilet cubicle. That's why most 'public' toilet doors have hooks on the inside (and to prevent theft in some areas). The only place you'll find a communal change room is the pool, and the only people that really use the change room is parents dressing their kids. Because it's more spacious than a cubicle so obvs much easier with tiny people. The 'change room' is just the communal section of the toilets but bigger and with benches. Even then, not all pools have a communal change room. Edit: *some* private schools may have change rooms

It’s to protect the women from the crazy Iblis,shaytan or jinn that might fall in love and this love is like blind love. They would die rather than the person dies. This also applies to men, but it less likely for it to happen to them. Women wear makeup and that is what attracts the jinn to follow them everywhere. Since men don’t wear makeup that’s why it’s less likely for the jinn to fall in love with them, and if the women weren’t covering a lot, the jinn would fall in love with every woman. So Allah made us strict rules about clothes to protect us.

I really don’t think this comment is totally necessary. I can see what you mean (I myself am not religious), but she is very self-directed in her faith and doesn’t expect everyone else to do what she does. I have a lot of respect for people from different faiths who are very self-focused on religion, especially when it comes to stricter rules. So while her rules may seem arbitrary to you (and even I may not fully understand every motivation or guideline) and outside of “Western norms”, I don’t think we have to comment on what our understanding or perception is of certain faiths. Most wear them as a sign of respect towards Muhammad and sometimes in modesty or to avoid unwanted attention by men. This is a religion and we have to respect other cultures but god damn if it isn't oppressive as hell for women and homosexuals
@b-radp9755 ай бұрын
I was too busy smiling at their cuteness to think about those 2 points and they are very valid and should equally be addressed in the same way this video addresses misconceptions. Because honestly at the end of the day, it's one thing for a woman to be a willing, respectful and faithful follower and practitioner of a faith and its system of acceptable behavioral actions, its another to be someone born into a family and culture that doesn't acknowledge, validate, or accept the reality that just because an individual doesn't possess the same qualities and characteristics of the individuals that choose to follow a doctrine that either doesn't provide the versatility to accommodate all the possible NATURAL, NORMAL, UNIQUE AND EQUALLY AS PERFECT CHARACTERISTICS that some are born with, or worse, follow a doctrine that condemns, shuns,rejects, ostracizes or punishes those individuals without permitting any rights allowing for them to simply live and experience a peaceful existence. Knowing what I know about Christianity and the fact that of the doctrines entirety, there doesn't exist any of the scripture that is repeatedly claimed and used as an attempt to justify the condemnation and mistreatment of homosexuality. There are 3 single examples that vaguely allow for the extreme speculation and misinterpretation that has then been amplified a thousand times to insist it represents a vast quantity discussing its abominations. Tho not once does it contain a clear and direct opinion whatsoever in regards to the subject. The mainstream perception and accusations that are perpetuated are the results of the ignorance of hateful individuals and the ease of which influential people are manipulated and taught to believe, behave and to continue to spread the lies they have created to oppress individuals that they personally dont agree with and choose to dislike and hate. I'm curious as to weather or not this may also be the case for other religions and will now look into the matter and hopefully follow up. It will amaze people what light can shine into their lives by simply taking a moment to question and take a closer look at the things that dont seem to make sense or dont appear to be quite right.

Modern Christianity has been split into two (CoE and Catholic) And now has been split into so many smaller denominations, that most of the values and beliefs is expressed but not always practiced. As long as your husband isnt going to beat you for not following those rules then its chill. It MUST be your choice and not forced on you at all. Freedom OVER Religion

That just makes me sad. But I understand that women of other cultures have different perspectives. Do what makes you happy.

You shouldn't feel that way! Its her own choice to follow her religion. Everyone wants a world where anyone can choose their own lifestyle in any form and if this is what she wants we should respect it ☺️ thats how I see it. 🙈

Btw I did not want to assume that you don't respect her! Just saying because other people might see this and have to realise 😅

Don’t feel sad, it’s her choice to be how conservative or how not conservative she wants. In the Quran it says “there is no compulsion in religion” so don’t feel sad for her making the choice to live like this 💕

@@PersistInTheMind excuse me but I did not say that they HAVE to feel that way. They should not because there is no reason to. No compulsion just tolerance

I’m Christian but I do enjoy watching your videos to learn more about your culture. I like learning about others cultures so if I see someone in public I know how to treat them. Thanks for posting so much info :D

@@っっ-y7k They're just not used to as many restrictions that aren't decided by personal preference but instead religion. Those who are religious are used to their being rules tat sometimes overlap with personal opinion.
