As we all know people judge too, there are courts, referees, Olympic sports with judges etc. Now when it comes to the regislation that God wants us to follow, then ofcours the one that makes these rules is none other than God, and we can use the word 'judge' for this. But can we use the word 'judge' on another way too, as in living by those rules and judging the people by those rules? In Islaam, yes, and I will show you: Look. The word we are talking about is حكم hakama and in present tense it is يحكم yahkumu. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. Indeed Allah is Ever All-Knower, Well-Acquainted with all things. Twice is used حكما in the verse, translated as 'arbitrators'. These arbitrators are ofcours from mankind. And the following is even more obvious because it is about judging with or without the rulings of Allaah, there we say that Jesus will judge at the end of times with the rulings of Allaah. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed (then) such (people) are the Fasiqun (the rebellious i.e. disobedient (of a lesser degree) to Allah. So the way the priest, may Allaah guide him, interpreted 'judge' is not how we have been used to it. It's clear from the verses how we use the word, even when it is about the regislation from God to the people, the one who judges with this regislation doesn't have to be God himself, as is clear from the last verse I've put in. So in that same way, Jesus, who will be judging with the regislation from God, isn't God himself.

This is the irony when they say Islam is "tolerant" of other religions based on an early verse in the Quran that says, "There is no compulsion in religion." What they conveniently leave out is that the Quran is not like every other religious book in which every verse is given equal importance. Since the Quran is so full of contradictions, they came up with the "law of abrogation" which basically means that the latest verse in the Quran about some topic is to be followed. This means that the latest verses about religious tolerance in the Quran are to "kill all the infidels [or non-Muslims]" or to "convert the infidels by the sword" (I'm paraphrasing). So, according to the Quran itself, Islam is intolerant of other religions.

About the muslim: He did not explain the verse well correctly. The verse, or rather the whole surah (Al kaafiroen) was revealed as a reaction to the polytheists that proposed to the prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to follow his religion for a year following by him following their religion. So the goal of revealing this chapter (surah) was to tell the disbelievers that the prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ is free from them, you your Deen and me my Deen, I have nothing to do with you. You can look it up by typing tafsir ibn kathir surat Al kaafiroen it should not be that difficult. It would be good if Muslims would only speak with knowledge especially when putting yourself online. About the Christian: You say that you don't agree with the ones that change the message from God. Perfect. So why did Paul change the religion, can anyone who sees 'Jesus' in their dream change the religion? Then why would God send Jesus, if He sends regislation by dreams? Paul came with things that the gospels don't tell. Especially the first three gospels. Biggest example is the taking of Jesus as God. Where does Jesus say this. What the bible does say is that Jesus placed his forehead on the ground (like Muslims do) to pray to God. Who wrote the gospels? Not Matthew, nor Luke, nor the other. The word we are talking about is حكم hakama and in present tense it is يحكم yahkumu. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them." (4.159) (See Fath-ul-Bari, Page 302 Vol 7) Sahih al-Bukhari 3448 The used word is حَكَمًا, translated as 'judge'. Now let's see how this word is also used in the Qur'aan { وَإِنۡ خِفۡتُمۡ شِقَاقَ بَيۡنِهِمَا فَٱبۡعَثُواْ حَكَمٗا مِّنۡ أَهۡلِهِۦ وَحَكَمٗا مِّنۡ أَهۡلِهَآ إِن يُرِيدَآ إِصۡلَٰحٗا يُوَفِّقِ ٱللَّهُ بَيۡنَهُمَآۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا خَبِيرٗا } [Soera An-Nisāʾ: 35] Muhsin Khan and Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali: If you fear a breach between them twain (the man and his wife), appoint (two) arbitrators, one from his family and the other from her's; if they both wish for peace, Allah will cause their reconciliation. Indeed Allah is Ever All-Knower, Well-Acquainted with all things. Twice is used حكما in the verse, translated as 'arbitrators'. These arbitrators are ofcours from mankind. And the following is even more obvious because it is about judging with or without the rulings of Allaah, there we say that Jesus will judge at the end of times with the rulings of Allaah. The verse: { وَلۡيَحۡكُمۡ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡإِنجِيلِ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِۚ وَمَن لَّمۡ يَحۡكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ } [Soera Al-Māʾidah: 47] Muhsin Khan and Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali: Let the people of the Injeel (Gospel) judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed (then) such (people) are the Fasiqun (the rebellious i.e. disobedient (of a lesser degree) to Allah. So the way the priest, may Allaah guide him, interpreted 'judge' is not how we have been used to it. It's clear from the verses how we use the word, even when it is about the regislation from God to the people, the one who judges with this regislation doesn't have to be God himself, as is clear from the last verse I've put in. So in that same way, Jesus, who will be judging with the regislation from God, isn't God himself.

We Muslims believe that Jesus pbuh will come back before the Day of Judgement as a judge. Anyone can be a judge on Earth, but once Judgement Day comes, only God can be a judge and God alone will decide who to reward and who to punish. Even Prophet Mohammad pbuh was a judge. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed (then) such (people) are the Fasiqun (the rebellious i.e. disobedient (of a lesser degree) to Allah. So the way the priest, may Allaah guide him, interpreted 'judge' is not how we have been used to it. It's clear from the verses how we use the word, even when it is about the regislation from God to the people, the one who judges with this regislation doesn't have to be God himself, as is clear from the last verse I've put in. So in that same way, Jesus, who will be judging with the regislation from God, isn't God himself.

I am an atheist ex Muslim and this is something I always notice too. The interviewer here believed and was behaving as if simply reciting the Qur'an gives him special wisdom and authority. As an Orthodox Christian, I am blessed to be friends with the monks, the monk priests, and to have our Bishop visit regularly at the Monastery, or they have services every day. Yes, with proper fasting, prayer, and confession you can receive Communion everyday of the week. Sometimes after Liturgy we sit and talk with the Fathers for hours. They are so filled with light and wisdom, I'm left speechless every single time I talk with them. Attending Bible studies led by Orthodox monks is on a whole other level for someone like me, who spent many years being Protestant and non-denominational. Kyrie Eleison! 🙏☦️
