Bro, the true meaning of Islam is To submit to the truth. At the time of the prophet, do u think there was a religion like today named Islam? No. At that time, u could be a Christian yet still be a Muslim. U could be a jew and still be a muslim. A muslim is a person who submits to what is true. My dad grew up going to Catholic school in Pakistan because they had the best schools and foreign teachers. He even learned Italian as a result and helped in the church although he was ethnically Muslim.
