I have an A1 and although we are no longer in the honeymoon phase after some breakdowns (clogged nozzles, filament detection issues and heatbed errors), I am still madly in love. I have printed over 15kg of filament since August and I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Mini or P1S. In due time, maybe. I didn't know about the remote and the filament clip so thank you for that. I am working/helping with a more universal Bluetooth remote that's compatible with many other brands, as well, so I will wait with timelapses until that's done, but it's cool to know that there is a fallback.

That’s cool. I’ve only printed 3kg so far. I’m sure it’ll happen someday but I’m not looking forward to any clogged noodle issues.

Ordered one yesterday after pulling my hair out with Creality.... Bought their KE a month ago and it decided to kill itself within the first month wasting £300 plus another couple £100 in spare parts. Lets hope the A1 is better because I've got 10k of filament to use up. Thanks for the review.

The Bambu A1 is absolutely fantastic-I've been using it consistently for six months now. Currently, I'm keeping an eye on the Bambu P1S and the FLSUN T1 Pro. Do you plan to review the P1S or T1 Pro in the future?
@MisterHenry

Totally agree! A1 is an awesome beginner 3d printer. Within 20mins I was printing loads of cool stuff. I’d love to try out the P1s. We shall see. Thanks for the comment my friend.

Yeah I got a neptune 3 plus as my first printer around 3 months ago. But after watching soo much cool stuff coming from bambu lab a1. I just had to bite the bullet and get one. So I own both now haha. Now I'm just short on filament now. I only have black and white. Need some colour in my life but with kids and christmas. I will have to wait till January February before getting anything like that.

Re: cooling-fan contraption. Why are trying to reduce the airflow??

On the surge side of a fan you can put alot in front without restricting flow. Does not count for the other side. In this case it wont have any effect - and if so, the headroom is plenty and its only for the cold end...

This is great. Total newbie here, was this all printed in PLA? How do you decide when to use PETG? Just got my A1 setup today, waiting on filament.Thank you.

Thanks so much. Yes this was all printed in Matte PLA from Bambu Labs. Not experimented with any other filament as of yet as I’m still having fun with PLA.

Do you recommend it as a 24 hour print farm machine printing at high speeds
@MisterHenry
@MisterHenry 9 күн бұрын
@@mugaggakennedy cost wise? Yes. You could buy half a dozen of these and be set pretty quickly. However I feel that if you’re going to buy multiple units, an enclosed 3d printer might be more beneficial. It really depends on the room temperature and ventilation I guess. Please keep in mind that this is my first 3d printer and I found the A1 really user friendly. So take what I say with a pinch of salt. Hope this helps.

@@mugaggakennedy sure. I use the phone app to remotely print things from other locations. Not sure how well it would work for multiple printers though.

So, I just picked up an a1 on black friday and have a question, how do you guys dampen vibrations and noise from it? I’m in a 3rd floor apartment and feel like an ass when I run it since im fairly certain my downstairs neighbors can hear it through the floor
@MisterHenry
@MisterHenry 10 күн бұрын
Not really having any issues with noise vibrations. I do have it on a very sturdy worktop, plus it's on a carpeted floor.

For my P1S, I used a concrete paver on top of a square foam exercise mat tile. It seems to work pretty well.

@@rsmeaton That's a really good idea. The foam mat should help Dampen the vibrations.

1. - mandatory 2. - who needs this? - you talk about must haves and 99% wont do timelapses with a camera like this. 3. - there is a better way to scrape by shaping a normal spatula. But i think it works for those who are not able to do a good grinding job. 4. - its easy enough to align it with the mid part.. but i guess there must be very unhandy ppl outh there to even mess this up xD 5. - extra weight on moving gantry.. bad idea. put it somewhere else. 6. - why would you touch the head while running? also you cant hurt urself or damage the fan by touching it. But i understand why some need it. 7. - gimmick 8. - gimmick 9. - gimmick - and the allen keys are garbage. Use proper ones. 10. - i will print this, too - but only because spool makers are too dumb to put proper amount of holes on the side. Some do it well.. others dont even have them.

@@MisterHenry It is amazing! I can't imagine 3D printing without it. Even if you don't print multicolor very often, you can fill it with "almost empty" spools, edit them as all the same type/color (even if they aren't the same color) and it will automatically continue to the next spool once the current spool has emptied. Fewer useless "near-empty'" spools! it's a win-win....
