the modding community is so strong for the ps vita yet with games like among us, fortnite and god damn roblox people just use remote play even though you can download them on 3ds which is a less powerful device

Iv owned a Vita since 2014. I think overall its a great device and still a must have today if you want console style games on the go. I will always say 'The Vita didnt fail, Sony failed the Vita' Its a very versatile device too. I just recently got it hacked and its brought so much QoL to it especially putting the PSP emulator on it too. Now I can play old PSP games I used to own years ago. I barely use the Vita, but going abroad soon and dug it out my cupboard, still scratch free and the battery (according to homebrew app) still is 93% healthy. 10yrs of owning it and the battery is still going strong, plenty of use and love for the Vita. Thank you to the hacking/homebrew modding community for keeping this device relevant in current times

I think the copyright issues with jkpg dont affect don’t affect sony very much no one is gonna buy an overpriced Vita game especially from the shop when they keep saying they want to shut the store down. If anything it will help devs because more people will be introduced to their games and become fans or buyers of any potential future releases

Yeah, I just got a Vita (with jailbreak in mind) but for an instance I felt like using it vanilla will be a cute experience. Then I opened the store, saw a game at 50 bucks and "Yaargh" my way put of it

when I go to pkgj and I try to go to "menu" the triangle key does not work whereas when for example I play a game the key works and therefore I cannot refresh

I use PKGJ for piracy but I only download PSP and PS1 games. Most of them I already have or used to have when I was younger, some I never had, some I got because I wanted to try a game that has gameplay I don't usually like but wanna try anyway, like FF4 being a turn based RPG. I mainly don't download Vita games because that's way more recent and the Vita still has online functionality and isn't _completely_ abandoned yet so I'm not about to risk that lol.

So when we download off of GitHub to PlayStation vita does it automatically put the game icon on your game page to play like the apps you have linked in description I don't have vit yet just wanna know so I don't accidentally break my Vita

You install the VPK in vita shell (you’ll learn more about that once you mod your vita) and yes it will automatically create the icon bubble on your Home Screen.

I still prefer the 1000. That OLED is unmatched. But they're getting harder to find in good condition. I would suggest getting whichever you can find in the best condition possible.

I jailbroken and downloaded pkg but its literally empty no games...Am I supposed to add them myself somehow? I'm so confused also I get an error with custom theme manager when I try to browse themes 🤷‍♂️

Hit triangle to refresh the list in pk. With the themes manager it does that to me sometimes. I usually wait a while and go back in.

You don't need to buy anything to mod it, but it is recommended that you get an SD2Vita memory card adapter to use a micro SD card with the vita.

I figured it out, so I thought the refresh was not working either I kept pressing x I think its common to think of it as a function button, however in PKGJ Press triangle to refresh then Circle! Thant did it for me, hope this helps! LMK
