We appreciate the comments! We know that Dock Watch will not work at every location and will not be a benefit for every driver. However, it has been our experience with over 80 years of driving under our belt that this is a situation that plagues drivers. We sit in the drivers seat and stay at the mirror or lay over the steering wheel or lay in the bunk with one eye open. That is not quality rest for anyone. This device alleviates a driver having to do that. To answer some of the question: In reality it takes a driver about 30 seconds to set up the device. Unless you know it’s there, another driver will have a real hard time seeing it hanging on the light and try and steal it. It will notify you if you pull away and forget it. We know that this device is not cheap but we have made the decision to have it produced in the United States and not China. We know some drivers have been doing this for a long time but why deal with it if you don’t have to?

I was at a W mrt DC in an ice storm, once. Half the crew was there. I get in, on time, and drop the trailer at the door. Took over eight hours to unload. So, when they called me up to get that “lumpers check” and kick me out, I told them that I’m still waiting for the approval number. They want you gone, no matter what you have on the clock, but they won’t let you leave without paying them. I waited the hour and a half for my clock to roll over, and then brought it in to them. Trick learned while RVing: Get a slap bracelet and slap it onto your steering wheel whenever you deploy the dock watch. Then, when you go to leave, it is a reminder that the dock watch is still attached to the light. You can also use other slap bracelets for other items you need to remember when parked.

What if somebody steals it while attached to the light, though? Other than that, it is pretty cool. Usually, if less than two hours, I would just sit in the driver's seat with more trip planning and other things to get done. Phone calls, budgeting, trip planning, or whatever is something I would be doing. After two hours of doing that, I would get tired of sitting there in the driver's seat, so that is pretty cool.

So I wonder how many of these things will be left behind and forgotten unintentionally of course the driver will forget to take his dock watch with him

It sends alarm if you start driving away.

Cool product for places that don't call the driver

Cool product but imo it’s a lot safer and more efficient to just use a camera that can swing out from behind your cab to see.

Even if it means losing your job DO NOT take a load to the TARGET dc in Chambersburg Pa unless it’s for a drop n hook. I went there once on a Friday with an 11am appointment but unfortunately had a tractor tire go flat and missed my appointment by 10 minutes from getting the tire changed. Once they got me in I had to drop my trailer in a certain spot for the yard jockey to place on a door. The jockey didn’t hook to it till 13:30 . They didn’t start unloading it till the second shift came in at 15:30. It wasn’t completely unloaded till 19:30 then had to be sorted out onto separate pallets for each item. Didn’t get my trailer back till 22:00 and the paperwork at 23:00 F&@k TARGET I won’t even patronize their stores As far as I’m concerned TARGET can fall into the ocean and float to RUSSIA

If they want me to leave they'll get my number, give me a pager, or knock on the door. And If I want to leave, I'll be checking. Kinda cool of a gadget I guess. There's always a way 😂

I thought Crete was primarily Drop and Hook? Why are you waiting to be loaded / unloaded if you're at Crete?
@markcornish63933 ай бұрын
it is mostly drop and hook, not all the time!

Nope but you can play a game with which truck it might be in now 😂

Another driver sneaks over and grabs your dock watch and hangs it up on someone else door with a red light! LOL
