As a Black American, who loves your channel, I was shocked that South Africans are at the beginning stages of the Natural Hair movement. I think a lot of African Americans, like myself, just assume that Africans are more advanced when come to nature hair care. We assume that y’all know better than us In many instances and use “real” organic products. I’m learning that that’s not always the case. Also, it’s unacceptable to group a whole continent of people into one group. Anyway, I love that your using South African natural hair products, that’s definitely that way to go. You’re certainly a pioneer.
@brittanycarroll42904 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I agree with you. I just said that. You gotta learn right? That’s what I’m here to do. Didn’t mean to offend you in any way. I’m happy to learn always. 😊
@brittanycarroll42904 жыл бұрын
Also, I think if your offended my post that you missed read it. You might have had a misguided assumption yourself. It’s all out of love. I’m proud of the movement that’s all. ❤️❤️❤️

@@sinovuyomondliwa Yes, someone named Nozi was initially offended by my comment on your video and told me that I was wild or something and that I needed to stop with the misguided assumptions about South Africans I suppose. I ensured her that, in fact, I SUPPORT you and the Natural hair movement in SA. I believe she retracted her response. I think she might have interpreted my comment to you incorrectly, but you know that happens sometimes, even to me. 😅

I love how the natural hair movement is sweeping the globe. It's interesting that the continent of Africa hasn't been the first to convert but it makes sense when one understands the complex history of colonialization and disenfranchisement. Great video btw!

With regards to the rice water protein situation, I have some scientific knowledge. Amino acids are building block of proteins, so basically a lot of amino acids bind together to form a long protein chain. So in my opinion rice water does give your hair protein

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Rice contains protein but it not a lot when you look at it from a macronutrient point of view but that might be different when you judging it for hair.

So I just wanted to ask since you said that you can include the rice water in your LOC method how could you prevent it from causing protein buildup?
