That's so cool, this feels like something it would happend in the real game when it's finished. The vanilla experience feels more like the begining of TWD but in your house, with everyone already being a zombie and stuff, even tho canonically there's still people alive for the first weeks of the game

Green speech means they're friendly, actually. Those people killed you because you shot first. Go back and look; they had green speech bubbles until you pissed them off enough to shoot. That's also why you didn't see their rifles. Because they weren't using them until you shot. XD The same thing goes for the people spawning in the house with you. Nearly everyone on day one in the Day One mod are actually FRIENDLY not hostile; again, note the green speech (until you ATTACK them and piss them off, lol). Try not attacking everyone you see and see what they actually do first.

You have to keep moving for the first 24 hours. Your character is supposed to be on the brink of death after the first day.
