I would say get a 1TB SD card and maybe in the future upgrade your Steam deck with a 2TB SSD

@@Renevenner1 Oh, yeah. I had a 1TB SD waiting on it. Already picked up 25 games, so the SSD is nearly full and the SD card has a couple of games on it as well. Two weeks in and I’ve already logged about 65 hours of game time. This thing is perfect for a busy dad that always seems to be waiting on kids somewhere. I wish I’d bought it sooner. I’ve also picked up a 15.6” mobile display, folding keyboard, SD Dock, portable battery, and PS5 controller. Now it’s perfect for car lines, vacations, etc. It’s definitely a versatile little gadget.

You can get a USB-C to HDMI out with USB-C in for power delivery. Then you can charge the deck, while also using the HDMI output.
