To be honest, it's most likely that most, if not all driveshafts will shake at a certain rpm threshold but usually straighten out at a given top speed run. When you start to slow down from that high speed run, the drive shaft would began "shaking" again until you go below a certain rpm threshold from the run, then the "shaking" would stop at lower rpms. By having the car off it's wheels, like the demo I saw at the beginning of the vid, the shaft shakes more violently because of a less torque load. Although your newer, thicker driveshafts look impressive , they'll still indeed shake at a certain rpm range. You would still have to balance them in order to minimize the shaking effect. Do the same freewheel test with the new, thicker shafts and you will see what I mean. The drive shaft has to be ridiculously balanced in order for that vibration to be minimize further. Then you would have to balance the drive shaft cups that holds the driveshafts as well. Although the speedrun you performed was very impressive indeed, I still heard a little of the famous whining sound in your vid that every speedrun car does but in your defense, I heard a bit less of it. The stock driveshaft should hold up fine. People already proven this with speeds over 150 mph with the Limitless. I'm sure you had seen people, like Phillip jolly, even break the 150 mph record many times, all with a stock driveshaft. Excellent video nonetheless 👍

Excellent info bro, I just snapped the rear dogbone on my Limitless only after day 3 of setup test runs. I didn't even get past 83mph, was only running stock setup with ESC set slightly conservative since this is my 1st time running a Limitless. Running the MMX 8XS w/ 1717 1650kv motor. I noticed the same thing, there was serious wear on the dogbone & the braces. So I just replaced both front & rear with heavier duty versions made by RCAWD. #45 Hardened steel & thicker. These rotate much smoother & straight. Eventually I will probably replace them with the Scorched 8mm titanium version. They were out of stock so I went with these other guys. Excellent content as always! 😎👍

Sick set up bruv love the drive shafts I have to get me some of them. And the rear wing is 10/10 boss sickest wing I've seen by far. Looking forward to seeing you push big number hit them 150mph+ if you find the right spot as I know your spot is to short but I can see you hitting 140mph their.

I subscribed. For me to get a car built like yours do i buy a roller first? How do i start the build. Complete list so i can start the journey;) and roughly how much would cost.

To make It run, motor / esc / servo / transmitter / receiver / cap pack. I been building mines 2 days now after work, killmode 2900kv / xlx extreme / savox 7.4 / spectrum dx5c kit. That's my direction the rest is your finger print that makes your own. Check out rcmonsters.com I'm liking on those upgrades but I'm digging the carbon fiber so hard to decide. Keep on keepin 👍😀

Plug red in the middle, then white and black on either side. If vehicle goes in reverse. Reverse polarity by switching black and white. Then recalibrate the esc

Do you need the Aluminum chassis brace with the 8mm drive shafts or can you run the stock plastic ones ?

I have seen some guys use it with the stock chassis braces with little modification, but I would really recommend getting get them regardless, ensure a proper fit

✌🏻😎🏴 That was just a warm up run lol. Freaking fast for a warm up. what’s your next goal? How fast do you want to go?
@InnovationRC5 жыл бұрын
Warm up runs usually are less than 120 mph for me. I decided to punch it first time and surprised myself. If I go to a longer road I would appreciate 140 mph. I am not trying to get the fastest speeds out there 😉
@notrcmaskedmaster43745 жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally agree. Unless your planning on drag racing for money. Are you ? Lol. I don’t even know if that’s legal in the United Kingdom or America. Keep up what your doing. Who knows one day you could be in the desert trying to break the sound barrier with an RC lol ✌🏻😎🏴
