This vlog takes you to one of Mexico’s most incredible landmarks, Cañón del Sumidero (Sumidero Canyon).
We took a tour from Tuxtla Gutierrez for $440 pesos, around $22 US but you can also take a tour from San Cristobal de la Casas. Our tour included transport to three miradores from above the Canon del Sumidero, a two hour boat tour through Sumidero Canon and a shortstop in the Pueblo Mágico Chiapa de Corzo.
If you travel Mexico and love nature, visiting Chiapas is a MUST! Chiapas Mexico is filled with natural beauty with places like Palenque, El Chiflon, Arcotete, Canon Sumidero and so much more!
If you are looking for Mexico’s off the beaten path destinations that are not crowded with tourists make sure to subscribe to our channel as we take you on some of Mexico’s best travel destinations.

Whoa, this place is freakin' AWESOME! That's so funny Jenny mentioned Horseshoe Bend - that was the first thing I thought when I saw the quick shot of Sumidero at the top of the video! We've been to Horseshoe, and you're absolutely right, Jenny. Very similar. Cool to learn that little bit about amber. Man, this place keeps gettin better as the video goes on. the boat ride looks like a jam! Until... it brokedown. I'd consider it a pretty cool memory, though, since it all worked out ok. I traveled to Mexico a few times and I found it to be amazing. I just subscribed to your channel. It is very informative and I will watch more if your content. I l I’ll r the way u present ur content. What I am curious about r the small towns that surround the cities. Their cultures, history, unique cuisines, tropical fruits. I would suggest u explore some of that. When I go to Mexico, there r only so much I can do and laze around the beaches. Some days I want to venture into the villages. Do some videos of that, how to get around safely and cost effectively, unique festival or cultures and when things r happening in different communities and when to visit and what to do that can give u an experience that u cannot get anywhere else. I really love going to Mexico. I will be visiting Guanajuato again this weekend for a few days. There is so much of Mexico I want to experience. Last visit was March 2022 to Cancun, Chichen Itza, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Cuzomel, Valladolid. I really like both the touristy and non tourist areas.I think ur channel name “Eat Baila Travel” is cool. Keep going, and thanks for making me love Mexico more.

Hey!👋 Thank you for sharing your experiences here! What are your thoughts on the pace of the tour? Enough time to see the things you came for? Sometimes in the past we have felt a bit rushed on organized tours, as though they are trying to pack in a bit much in a day, you? How are you enjoying the fresh cool air of Chiapas compared to Puerto Escondido?🥂
@EatBailaTravel
@EatBailaTravel 2 жыл бұрын
Great question the time spent at the miradores is 15 to 20 minutes which we think it's good enough, the boat tour is tour hours and that's also a good amount. We did spent very little time in Chiapa de Corzo but we were also beat from the 6 hours already spent during the tour. Chiapa de Corzo is worth coming back to for half day trip and it's only 30 minutes away from Tuxtla. We were enjoying the fresh cool air but we really miss the beach!

When I took the tour, the guy explained to me that the canyon was not formed by erosion, but by a crack in the earth that got wider and deeper with tectonic plate movement. At least that's what I got with my sketchy spanish.

@@lauraarteaga1451 we stayed in Tuxtla 3 days (which is plenty) to visit cañón sumidero but there are day trips and tours from San Cristobal to sumidero as well.
