Aloha Cones for great bowls (they come with shredded daikon, cucumber, imitation crab salad, edamame (sometimes?), seaweed, sushi rice, and other unique ingredients that complement their fresh poke greatly). Also, I haven't tried it yet myself, but their sushi cakes look incredible.

Try Tanioka's for poke and okazu and other foodstuffs. Fish patty. Sesame Korean tako poke. Cone sushi. Fried chicken. Shiso musubi. Dessert try Okinawan sweet potato/ haupia squares and Filipino suman.

Great choices! The Fresh Catch Crab-stuffed Ahi plate on Wednesdays is my favorite. My wife and I are obsessed with Redfish in Kakaako, right now. Unlimited toppings on their poke bowls and their Ahi Katsu and Smoked Meat plate gives Fresh Catch a run for it's money.

I hope the people from outside of Hawaii sees this video. This is how poke should be. I was so excited when a poke bowl place opened not too far from me. Talk about a huge disappointment! Dey donno how make 'um up hea! There is only one place up here in San Jose's Japantown that knows how to make it, Aloha Fresh. Gee, funny that the owner is from Hawaii and knows how it's done. Never had Off the Hook poke before but that cold ginger poke looks really ono. Since my folks live in Palolo, I've had both Fresh Catch and Tamura's. Mahalo for showing how poke should be.

Aloha Amanda & Felix. The panko crusted ahi looked delicious. I have to be honest, but I don't eat raw fish, I had tried sushi over 20 yrs ago and I just couldn't handle the texture. I'm jealous of all of you who love eating poke because it looks like fun food to eat. Who knows, maybe one day I'll give it a try. The king crab poke, was the crab cooked in that? Aloha Paula! Sorry you aren't able to eat raw fish... surprisingly there are a lot of people here who can't eat raw fish too! I believe the king crab is cooked, so definitely try that! Just went to Tamuras in Kailua for poke and it was good!! You can buy just the poke or a bowl there. At this location we wanted to make our own mix so we bought 3 kinds of poke containers. Pro tip at this location they won’t sell you rice if you don’t buy their poke bowl offerings. Go next door to the Korean restaurant. Buy rice there for 1.75. And enjoy. BTW the Korean restaurant next door is the best Korean food we’ve had outside of ktown in SoCal. Thanks Amanda and Felix for scoping out all these local spots

I just found u guys channel and love it. I’m pregnant on my first trimester so I’m always nauseated and vomiting. So I just watch you guys eat because it’s like I’m eating with you guys. I can’t wait to give birth so I can eat poke again. I already miss it 😪

I also like garlic ahi poke from Tamuras! Check out Ono Seafood too guys, their Shoyu and Spicy Ahi Pokes are sooo Ono 🙌🏽 😋

Right, Tamura's is so underrated! Felix likes Ono Seafood but I don't like that they mince the raw onions so thinly (I usually pick them out)😆 Mahalo for watching🤙🏼

My to go is Foodland, Tanioka’s or Tamaura when I’m home. North shore Pa’ala Kai market pretty good and they have grab and go bento. Fried chicken is ono.
