I believe you've convinced me to go with the meteor 350. Mostly you along with some UK videos. They are good folks but come on. newton meters and kilograms etc. N I believe that they invented imperial measurements.. This won't be be my first bike but I'm getting old and 55 or 60 mph is fast enough for me with the low end torque. And especially the awesome fuel mileage. Enjoyed.

Man I'm loving all this Meteor content! It's such a neat bike! I'm really considering getting one, but I don't know how well it will preform under the weight of me and my wife (roughly 360 lbs combined). I'm currently riding a Daelim Daystar 125 and it can barely reach the max speedlimit on my commute (50mph), so it would need to be able to keep up with traffic efficiently, and accelerate quickly for it to be worth the upgrade

Another great video. I had red bob up to 110km/h on the motorway last week. He gave everything he had and it was a comfortable ride. No I won’t do it for hours on end but the bike has the go to do it. 110km/h is a big ask for a 349cc bike carrying a 6’5” 140kg man.

Best video review yet on the Meteor, relevant to the USA. I bought a Meteor this summer. I sold all my bigger bikes because I'm getting older, and need lighter machines to stay riding. If I might make one small criticism, next time devote some of the screen time to just hearing the bike run through the gears without comment or music. Subscribed. ;)

Thanks for the great video. I have been watching videos on the Meteor 350 for a couple days and your video answered my question. I want a motorcycle to commute to work. My drive 45 miles on a road with a 55 mph max speed limit. I have no interest in riding on interstates. I think the Meteor will be perfect! If I ride it to work 3 days a week the gas savings will pay for it!

Man, another great video. Putting a video together showing it in so many conditions is super informative. I am still planning to buy a Meteor this spring when I retire for taking day trips, and maybe some a little longer. I keep feeling hesitant because our country roads here in Arizona are 65 mph roads, and there are times when you just have to get on a freeway to connect country roads. This video really put my mind at ease, I am now convinced it will do everything I need it to do.

Not dissing the meteor in any way and I'm shopping for a RE bike but how come it feels strained at 70 when my 125 was pretty good at 65 and would happily do 70 without red lining. You'd think with 350cc it would take 70 in it's stride and the limiter would be the limiting factor. But seems even without the limiter its not overly happy at 70. So I suppose it's more a question, why isn't it more comfortable at the highway speed limit?

I was going to ask about this bike compaired to the Himmy but this post here on the Meteor answered the questions i had. The Meteor IS NOT MADE FOR DIRT ROADS and the SUSPINSION isnt made for dirt roads either. Given you could change the tires to cover the dirt roads doing that and messing with the suspension I would just go with the orginal 411 Himmy although I am looking forward to the 2022 650 Himmy if they ever get around to marketing it. (The KLR 650 Adventure looks tempting) Where I live and for the "roads" and trails I intend to use it the Himmy is the answere and not the Meteor. Nevertheless, a great video for the Meteor. Now I see you riding the Meteor more than the Himmy and given you can get back into your favorite haunts I'm wondering with a tire change would you even need the 411 Himmy? Are you going to get rid of the 411 Himmy?

Personally, I wouldn't take my Meteor down a dirt road. If it's hard packed gravel, I think it could do it in a pinch. As for the Interstates, freeways, or super highways, those aren't the Meteor's strong suit. However, it does have enough capability to hop on for a few miles, so as to bypass a bad neighborhood in the city, or to bypass a traffic problem along your route. I'd have no qualms about doing that. Therefore, I'd consider the Meteor capable of short stints on a freeway, Interstate, etc. I wouldn't want to spend all day there, and the Meteor isn't in its element anyway. That said, if you need to hop on for a few miles, it's easily capable of doing that for you. Where the Meteor shines is on city streets, back roads, country roads, and highways (e.g. US routes or state highways); that's where it's in its element. The Meteor really shines on two lane roads with 50-55 mph limit, such as 539 in Southern NJ or 519 in North Jersey. As you said in your video about why to buy the Meteor, its sweet spot is 60 mph, max. Put it on roads where that's the rule, and the Meteor will be happy.

Great review, but the one thing the Meteor is clearly designed for, and I'm told excels at, is riding in heavy city traffic (yes, I know your sojourn into suburbia was the closest you could get to, and at that, it was deserted). The bike really scores in traffic, filtering and turning between stationary cars, with its low seat height making putting your feet down when stopping suddenly from virtually zero MPH on the turn easy and undramatic when that idiot tourist looks left and steps off the kerb (we drive on the left, but US tourists in particular in London forget that). Also the bike's slim profile enables it to slip between stationary or crawling cars to get to the front of the queue, ready for the lights to change, adding to its credentials as a city commuter bike/runaround - Reported to me by a friend who borrowed a demo bike for a few days while his cheap Chinese commuter bike was on the dealer's bench… He works in central London and visits clients around the city by bike for convenience. The little Meteor was perfect… otherwise he'd have had to resort to his Rocket Three, which is too big to filter easily. He's ordered one for himself and will give the Chinese heap back to the dealer in PX.

filtering is 100% illegal in every state on the US, except California. And yes I don't have a mega city near me I out standards. lol thanks for adding those insightful thoughts cheers and thank you for watching and subscribing

@@OlManRonin Like you, I'm a long time Harley owner (30 years) and an RE owner (I've got a ’90 hot rodded S&S FLHS and a 2019 Intereptor). I knew filtering was illegal in some states, but hadn't realised it was nearly all. In Europe (and in much of the world) it's not only legal, but encouraged to ease traffic congestion. I used to be a motorcycle instructor, and we taught learner riders how to filter safely… it amuses me that US riders are taught to hold the bike on the clutch when stationary in traffic, yet in the UK, that would mean a fail if done on your test (even car drivers are taught to shift into neutral when stationary… including automatics, which are in the minority). The reason, so US riders tell me, is so you don't get shunted from behind (apparently you're expected to pull forward to avoid it… into the car in front) but in Europe, a bike would be alongside the leading car in a standing queue at a stop line or traffic lights anyway. Ride safe, and have fun.

@@OlManRonin classica can even hit thr off roads but just not good as Himalayan ... and Indian roads are usually kind of hilly and bumpy so most og RE handles well even at 120km/h .... Harley might not fit on indian does and even harly owners takes them out only for some biking events they always keep RE in there garage or a mini sport bike
