@VermillionRacing2 жыл бұрын
@@coachtreyston if you're looking between the camaro and challenger, I'd go camaro. But you also gotta think about practicality to a certain degree. The challenger is MUCH much bigger on the inside, has good storage, but is slower because of its weight. The camaro is tiny in the interior and has little storage. The interiors are both wonderful, but I feel the camaro Is just ever so slightly better in its feel and design. Now personally between them all, I'd go with the mustang. Its the in between of the camaro and challenger, it's the fastest of the 3 usually (comparing to the 4cyl camaro), has the medium sized interior, a large trunk, and usable back seats. So it's the middle ground of the other two. Also to note, the camaro and mustang handle a lot better than the challenger.

The Camaros have minor things like the paint on the interior chipping and the window tint peeling. I didn’t drive the chargers or challengers all that much, but from what I’ve heard from friends they’re really good and don’t break all that easy. In fact none of them do. Glad to see someone covering the base model options. I am shopping for what will probably be my last car, and planning to pay cash so every dime counts. Initially, I approached the situation with the idea in mind that I was going to buy a V8 or nothing as I have always driven V8 powered cars. My current car is an 04 Mustang GT with the 2V 4.6L. Apparently, I’ve been out of the loop for too long because I had no idea that these newer V6 powered cars were putting down the kinds of numbers that they are. A V6 putting down 300+ horsepower is amazing to me. Perhaps to a lot of younger folks these cars aren’t impressive, but to me they are plenty powerful enough for anything I would intend to use them for. There is a fair to moderate chance that I may go with a slightly older SS or GT just so that I don’t miss the sound of the V8 engine. I definitely want to drive at least the V6 Camaro before I spend my money though. If it runs at least as hard as my current car, I’ll be a buyer.

@@Ryzenberg78 If you're talking about 4 cyl and V6s, they can handle snow just fine as long as you use dedicated snow tires in the winter. Actually, you can do the same with the more powerful V8s too (drove my Magnum RT in NY winters for as long as I had it). AWD really only affects your ability to accelerate; you will still have braking and steering issues.
@Ryzenberg784 жыл бұрын
@@kitoyobeni1 I live in CNY. We get snow by the feet. You can get RWD through with good snows and studs, but let's be honest, it's not ideal. There are many days we have no plowing, but I am essential staff so I need to get through. An RT is not getting through on those days. 95% of our muscle/sports cars are parked for 6 months a year up here and out come with winter rats and hoopties.
@kitoyobeni14 жыл бұрын
@@Ryzenberg78 I'm in Rochester. We don't seem to get dumped on quite as much (especially if you're near Oswego), but I'm in much the same snow belt. Now if you're a bit more rural, the lack of frequent snow plowing could be an issue, but my street seems to be the last in our area to get touched. I used to have a 77 Formula Firebird with a 400 and no weight in the back (not even a spare - stupid things we do when we're young) and drove through the winters too. I'm telling you, it's all about using good snow tires.

Yeah I understand what you mean the cheap plastic on the inside of the doors that easily scratched by fingernails in a camaro and the tail lights are what did it for me. Plus smaller windshield and room to see, its also not big guy friendly (not fat just I'm 6ft and in camaro my head almost touches roof). I was going to go with a SS camaro until I did research and decided last good looking one was 2013 model because of the tail end looked good. I looked at mustang but everyone has one its over hyped and they want WAY too much for the gt350 or gt500. Also compared to the others it looks like the dash has way less features its like bare bones. I went with a 2016 scat pack I couldn't afford a new one, now I regret I didnt get a Hellcat I just itch for more power lol. Challenger for the win! I dont go charger because if I wanted a sedan I would get a eco car. Also cops have chargers I wanna be different. Challenger all the way. I get atleast one compliment every trip out I take in it. I currently dont have badges on mine though so theres always cars like in this video that try to show off to me trying to race lol I love leaving them in the dust they have no clue I got a scat.

The base Mustang with the turbo 4 cylinder reminds of the SVO Mustang from the 80's. The SVO was super sharp but it needed an additional 100 horsepower to make it stand out. Sadly it died on the vine. Now it's spiritual successor is here and it's the real deal.
@lovethesmellofracefuelinth73744 жыл бұрын
Yep you are right Racerx, the smaller displacements are the big volume sales for all of them combined. For instance, FCA sales more six bangers than RTs and are a lot more of them sold than Scat pks, SRTs & even less hellcats for that matter. A lot more people can afford sixes then V8 powered cars, and is how it's always been. Challenger looks best out of them all, but needs to be at least a Scat considering the weight factor and is the only true muscle car remaining in the segment
