similar to the benefits of AWD. if you're driving in rain or snow & loose grip - most people stomp on the brakes & skid whatever way God intends. but if you instead reduce speed & gently accelerate, the AWD system will push torque to the wheels with grip for better motion control - at least to avoid a collision.

Funny you rarely see this with a corvette but common with mustangs. All in the design of the chassis vettes go straight when you lay the power down and mustangs go to ditches. Hardly a chassis design issue, it's 99.9% driver issue, he spun right from the start and didn't let out, instead tried to keep going full throttle, all he had to do was let out of the throttle a bit to hookup and get back into it. I've seen plenty of corvettes end up in the ditch, against walls, modded with a light post in the hood, etc. The only reason you see more mustangs crashing is there is 10 to 1 of them for any other performance car out there. In daily traffic I see maybe 1 or 2 camaros/challengers a week, maybe 1 corvette a month, I do see a few more chargers but mostly v6 ones. But I see 3 or 4 mustang gt's a day.

@troyt5309 Жыл бұрын
@@mustangsaleen1986 definitely correlates to money vs skills for sure. The cheaper cars like a mustang have many more younger drivers in them that can't handle a sports car yet and give them a bad name. You see fewer inexperienced drivers in corvettes, most likely due to the higher prices of them.

I see many ignorant Mustang comments here... Most of the cars and coffee Mustang antics were with the solid axle which has been gone since the S550 generation. IMO the Mustang has been modified to put down much more power than the chassis could handle safely, especially with an inexperienced driver. The Mustang had drag radials and even with no burnout to warm the tires it wouldn't have enough stock power to break them loose on a roll like that. Just sayin.
