Wayne has opted for the Super 8.8 IRS Torsen differential 🔧✅
The Torsen T2R differential is manufactured from Ford Racing to fit a rear end that is 8.8" along with 3.31, 3.55 or 3.73 Super 8.8" Gear Sets. As a standard part of the 2015-2016 GT Performance Package, this differential will take your Pony to a whole new level regardless if you are using it on the road or pushing it on the track. Designed to fit 34-spline axles, this differential will support a solid rear-end or new Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) installation.

Love the torsion diff with the 373 gears on my wifes 16 mustang gt performance package, brembo 6piston calipers 15" rotors, +1" rear rotors, etc. Fantastic package.

I'll know before too long as I'm adding exactly that to my 21 supercharged 5.0 with a 10A transmission. Replacing the lame 3.15 geared non torsen setup.

My '4.0L '02 Ranger came with 4L10 Torsen 31 spline differential. Replacing the pinion and ring currently.

So why does mustangs always break the drivers half shaft. Would it be ok to just replace it with upgraded half shaft driver side only

That's just one of the weak points in the car..most people just upgrade to ford performance set and be done with it
