Good question. I really enjoy the performance and handle. The mirrors on the orange Mustang has BLIS which is really convenient, however the blue Mustang does not. As long as the mirrors remain clean (and not foggy) its pretty easy to check the blind spots. Overall, I think the s550 Mustangs were a good design. Curious to see how the S650 turn out.

Reason probably to save gas on normal mode. S+ mode, the transmission stays at 2000 rpm so it can change gear faster. I haven't try anything yet beyond the first two modes.

@mcgurrentertainment2 ай бұрын
Putting your vehicle in sport (S): • Provides additional engine braking and extends lower gear operation to enhance performance for uphill climbs, hilly terrain or mountainous areas. This increases engine RPM during engine braking. • Provides additional lower gear operation through the automatic transmission shift strategy. • Provides gear upshifts and downshifts more quickly at higher engine speeds. Thank you for the support. There is a lot more to the Driving Modes, for example, traction control (I can spend a whole video just on that alone). This video was mostly focused on the basics of how the modes impact the vehicle. Before making this video, Ford (and other professionals) were contacted to provide some details/documentation of how the drive modes interacted with each system. After looking at all the information, I came to the conclusion that there is a fair amount of complexity of how the components communicate and function with each other. Yes, people do this, and it's not uncommon. Is it bad....? Well, any aggressive driving can put extra stress on the engine and transmission over time, causing wear and tear. That makes sense. Selectable Driving Mode feature is not available on the base model 300A. It's becomes standard on the 301A and up equipment groups.

is there an difference in fuel economy ?
@mcgurrentertainment Жыл бұрын
I have not performed any experiments, so bare with me. From what I heard, Wet/Snow mode gives you the best MPG, and then Normal mode is 2nd best. Sport Mode through Track Mode turns the car into a gas guzzler. As far as exact MPG, I would need to run the car on a close track with controlled conditions. Good question, though.

Too bad they implemented the flap exhaust only with the start of the 2019 model with quad exhausts. But better than not doing at all.

True, Active Valve Exhaust was available for the Mustang GT in 2018 and then available for the ecoboost in 2019.

In my 2021 MT82 drag mode does not disable traction control. Track mode is the only mode that disables it for me
@mcgurrentertainment2 жыл бұрын
The "Traction Off" indicator light is only shown in Track Mode, however it is also Off in Drag mode as well (just not shown). Drag Mode provides maximum power to the drive wheels during the run; traction control enabled would counteract the straight performance. When Ford added this feature in 2018, it seems it was implied Traction Control was disabled. Good attention to detail 👍

Prime example if your in track mode and tap the gas the car will drop gear for a few seconds. Good to do before a turn to prevent the car from bogging down when accelerating through a turn. Do your research you’ll see what I mean…
