In this episode watch as Budget Build Garage finishes the 1969 Mustang Coupe's suspension upgrade. In this video you'll learn how to replace an upper control arm, lower control arm replacement, installing Hotchiks springs, installing Moog control arms, installing Scott Drake spring perches, and plenty of other mustang suspension mods. This mustang suspension upgrade is not for the guy building a dragster, but rather the DIY'er or mechanic looking to significantly enhance a mustangs suspension making for an enjoyable, comfortable, sporty feeling ride. This setup might not be track status, but it will destroy any mountain terrain type drives, and most other non-track drives. For the amount of money spent on this Mustang suspension upgrade you absolutely can't beat it...I mean what else do you expect from a Budget Build Garage Resto.
Here is a breakdown of the purchased parts for the driver and passenger side. It doesn't include all the parts that were taken off, cleaned, sand blasted, and re-coated:
These are Global West upper control arms. They are geometry corrected and will really change the way the car handles and reacts. They fix the camber and the caster problems you have with a stock mustang.

These are Hotchiks springs. They are super bad ass. They will lower the car and really help the handling.

These are KYB Shocks. I would say are better than stock but not really high performance shocks

Need 2
These are Moog control arms and one of the cheapest lower control arm I could find. They are a cheap way to get a new lower ball joint and control arm bushing. since most of the performance comes from the upper control arm they would save money and you could get years out of them.

Need 2
These are Scott Drake spring perches. These are usually what make noise in the front end of the mustangs as the suspension goes up and down. They have a synthetic bushing that allows the perch to move 360 Degrees smoothly. These should reduce the noise drastically as well as free up any bind you usually get from polyurethane or even stock style bushings.
