I have a 66 and I have end caps with no studs on it or nothing just flat , how can I stall them ?
@MustangstoFear7 жыл бұрын
I would say you got a cheap set of end caps. You need to bond some studs in the end caps.

MustangstoFear do you have these for 69-70 mustangs?

the original shelby parts didn't fit if you are making a clonethose are the ones you need

I don't think you understand the purpose of the video. We're not trying to duplicate the ill fitting Shelby end caps. What we have done was improve the look and made them easier to install.

oh i understand but one of your lead commits on the video is talking about you competitions doesn't fit just right all i'm saying is if someone is wanting to do a correct clone these aren't the ones you need. most people doesn't know how bad the original shelby parts fit

you're still not get the point. You yourself personally couldn't tell the difference between ours and the original Shelby ones.

ok let me start by saying i have owned a gt500 clone that had the flaw that you video discusses at approximately 0.45, it also had the deck lid that was higher on one side than the other and the bow in the hood these flaws bothered me for the better part of a year. Then in April of 2009 my wife and i attended the MCA 45th Celebration in Birmingham Alabama, we where fortunately enough to park in the paddock beside us was the owner of an original unrestored 1968 gt 500. i noticed that his car had the same flaws as mine did, so i approached him and began asking him about his car. it turned out that he was a concourse judge there to judge the event, he told me that all of the original 500 came from shelby with these flaws and that there where two types of panels one that made there molds off orginal panels which had the flaws i was asking about the other's where scratch built molds that didn't have the flaws. With all this said if you are building a 500 clone that you are trying to make as orginal as possible the flaws must be there for judging purposes. After all this is said yes i can tell the difference between your new panels and the orginals because you have removed the flaws. Now with all that said i would like to say I'm glade that you have made the changes because the next car i build won't be a clone but i like the look. My next question is are you making the big block 500 without the bow of the original's.
