Absolutely LOVE your videos. We’ve watched many and look forward to watching many more. You both really explain what we would be looking for and have questions about, for when we eventually travel to the areas that you showcase. Also, we noticed that many of the ads that play on your videos are things that we are interested in. We always let them play fully and then when we want to learn more, we click on them. Best regards from a couple of fans from Manitoba. 🙂

What an excellent video: nostalgia for experienced travellers; informative for people who haven't done it yet. I crossed westbound, in a Pullman sleeper (double bunks each side of a central aisle, curtained; shared amenities). I spent the days in assorted lounges and the dining car. There were long sightseeing stops in Winnipeg and Calgary. I had come from Halifax, and bookended with Newfoundland and Victoria Island. I have also done three of five longer journeys: Beijing - Mosvka via Mongolia; Beijing - Moskva via Manchuria; Pyongyang - Moskva via Hasan (the world's longest through route, beating Vladivostok by 1000 km). The four rank in my top five most-memorable journeys. Being on the train becomes a way of life. On a different holiday, I stopped in Jasper, and loved it.

My hubby and I are scheduled on The Canadian in March. A true bucket list trip for us. I applaud you to travel with two infants. Your kids may be too young to appreciate it now, but you will have some great stories for the future.

Amazing Video! Impressive how organized you made it look with two young kids. Taking this train has definitely been on my bucket list for a decade and I was finally in a position to splurge and book a prestige cabin for my wife and I in March 2025. We are very much looking forward to it and your video made the excitement even more palpable. Thank you!!

@@MustDoCanada It was long time ago so can't expected too much. I took the train 7D6N no shower stop from Beijing to Moscow, quite a journey... Russia by that time was not quite open to tourists & was called USSR ! I remembered it took a whole day to pass the Lake Baikal, the largest fresh water lake in the world! It was early July in 1985 & my first time experience to midnight sun :)

I love this video. I did my trip solo from Toronto to Vancouver in 2018. Travelling alone, I went with Economy. Got two whole seats to myself. There had been a 12 hour delay then, but enjoyable just the same. It looks like you were able see more of the Rocky Mountains. It was mostly in the dark for our train. This is the most civilized way to travel. After my trip, I did want to go through again just to see the Rockies.

yeah that's the challenge eh? What you pass at night vs the day. if it's raining, etc
@cindykong3 ай бұрын
@@MustDoCanada We started to pass at night. It was just dawn when I woke up to it. The staff said it makes its own weather. Could not tell if it was rain or snow.

Very nice video, I rode from Vancouver to Toronto and back to Vancouver on the train last June in Sleeper Plus class and it was an amazing bucket list trip. The scenery is incredible, the food is awesome and the staff are just amazing, they really go out of their way to be helpful and courteous, they really make the trip a journey of a lifetime.

I took the westbound (Canadian) from Toronto all the way to Vancouver on May 19th - 23rd, 2024 So pretty close to when you guys did the eastbound counterpart. The train ride was beautiful and the views were absolutely fantastic. I actually met somebody when I was traveling on the Canadian. I spent two weeks in Canada myself, I spent one week in Toronto and Montreal. Before my parents came in from the USA on the Amtrak to meet me. All three of us boarded together to cross Canada. During our time on the train, I met a beautiful woman who was also traveling in the world solo from Germany. My trip was Canada 🇨🇦 and Australia 🇦🇺. Then her trip was Canada 🇨🇦, New Zealand 🇳🇿, Singapore 🇸🇬, & Thailand 🇹🇭 We met on the train on the second day of the trip. We were in the Dome car and just started chatting and it didn’t stop for hours. We ended up chatting all the way to 1am that night When we arrived into Vancouver, that Thursday we all split ways and went our separate directions. The following day I had a flight with Air Canada from Vancouver 🇨🇦 to Brisbane 🇦🇺, they had an issue with my ticket, which brought me to the airport earlier than I expected. Which turned out to be a good thing because the woman I met on the train with also at the airport waiting for her car rental. We ended up chatting for several more hours, before I asked her if she would be OK with a hug before we went our separate ways. We have stayed in touch through WhatsApp. Since we were going to the same part of the world but different countries we got to learn about it through each other. We’ve really hit it off and become good friends. She even gave me the OK to book a flight to come and see her. So in April, I’m flying from the USA 🇺🇸 to go and visit her in Germany 🇩🇪 You never know when you’re gonna meet someone and your whole wide world comes undone. I’m super excited to go see her again, because this seems like fate and she might be my future wife. Great video

I'm booked for exactly a year from now! This is the first video to show the two bedrooms' partition folded to combine rooms. You must be a railfan to have the insider knowledge to book bedrooms E & F, as the latter is somewhat larger than the other bedrooms. The combination of the two is the largest possible accommodation on the train.... even larger than the prestige luxury suite!
