Mutabaruka delivers powerful talk at AFRIKIN 2019 at New World Center on Miami Beach during Art Basel and Miami Art Week 2019. It was a powerful event honoring our beloved brother Vaughn Benjamin of Midnite and Akae Beka.

You know I use to listen to Mutabaruka back in the days and wonder what he was saying and couldn't relate to his message thinking that he was just a regular dub poet until I started to read up on my history I realized that this Brother here is coming from far and deep with his wisdom, my Brothers and sisters out there let us do some more reading, and most importantly get it from the right source, "All Hail To You My Brother"Now I'm Listening to you on a higher level "Rasta Fari".

Africa is not our rightful home. If Africa was our rightful home how come our ancestors didn't go back to Africa after socalled slavery was abolished? If our ancestors were originally from Africa why hasn't there been any documentation in Africa that is there as proof to say that there was a mass people that were taken from the country during the 1700s to the 1800s? If we were rightfully from Africa why is it that in the United States the African-American is considered a dual citizen and has limited rights whereas an African gets special rights not granted to an African-American? If we were rightfully from Africa why in the world did Africans sell out the copper colored Indians that migrated from the United States to flee a mass invasion from the Europeans that took place in America prior to slavery? If you say you are learnt and still say that all dark skinned people are from Africa then you are just as much of a liar as the Spaniards and Europeans.
