Mutton Daal Written Recipe :
Ingredients :
Mutton ½ kg
Split Bengal Gram 1- ½ cup
Oil ½ cup
Clarified butter 2 tbsp
Onion chopped 1- ½ cup
Cloves 4
Cinnamon 1 stick
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
Tomatoes chopperised 2
Salt 1 ½ tsp
Turmeric ½ tsp
Chili powder 2 tsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Green chilies 4
Method :
Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker, add cloves and cinnamon with chopped onion, chopped ginger and garlic, fry till onion soft, add mutton, fry for 10 mins, add tomatoes and all the seasonings, for 10 mins till all well blended, add soaked chana daal, fry for 5 mins, add 6 cups water, close the cooker, lower heat, cook for about 15 mins, add lemon juice, the daal should remain whole, serve hot with fresh coriander and green chilies.
