HUGE benefit. One of the least talked about bonuses. Every time there's a tech, you have a 90% shooter to take it (apologies Kyrie). You have two guys who can handle the ball down the stretch to draw a foul who are going to knock down virtually all their free throws (taking pressure off of Luka who struggles when he's tired). That's going to make the Mavs so dangerous because if they have a 2-6 point lead, you just keep the ball in Kyrie & Klay's hands and that lead is bulletproof.

He already made a splash when he signed with the mavs. The spacing he’ll make along with naji Marshall and Quentin grimes (which I do think people need to talk about more of) will do even better than green or DJJ in terms of defense. Naji EASILY gives SGA and jimmy butler a hard time and yet everyone thinks that OKC will be #1 seeding to the playoffs. But a small problem that needs to be brought up is that of an 82 game season and anything could happen as well as luka needs to rest more as looking at the Olympics he was not so hot.

It's amazing that they don't have Luka as the guy with the highest gravity. He literally was the most double-teamed player in the NBA (twice as high as number 2). Talk about drawing the defense.....#1 in scoring, #2 in assists, #10 in rebounds. Klay is going to get some AMAZING looks. But the guy who's going to benefit the most is Washington. He is getting better and better from the corner, but he's not there yet from above the break. Now, not only will he not have to venture up there to get a shot, he will be MORE open in the corners where he can build on the success he already had and not be pressured to be the Mavs 3rd best shooter. I think he's going to get up north of 15ppg this year along with Klay's 20, Kyrie's 25, and Luka's 30 (I think Luka's scoring will slightly drop due to all the shots his teammates are making, but his assists are going to go radically higher. I think it's safe to say he'll be above 12 per game. I think 14 is an outside possibility. If you want to see him get that MVP and the Mavs get back to the Finals, Luka averaging 30/10/12 with better efficiency is the way to do it.

Klay and all the moves my Mavs made this season was almost like I was in the room with these guys closely analyzing the finals. The only reason why the Mavs didn’t win the finals is the wear and tear of the team as a whole. You can see it early in the run against OKC and Minnesota. The Mavs just had a harder road than the Celtics, hell even Kristaps was healthy.

I think Mavs can win it all my main concern is Luka's shooting volume and usage combo. On Team USA Curry is eluding to the fact he doesn't know when he will get the ball so he is just looking to score when he touches it and its causing him to miss. With Luka thats the effect it plays on Kyrie/Klay. Even though Luka gets alot of assist the ball dominance leads to Kyrie/Klay to be forcing shots on lower usage rate. I would hope Mavs look too lower Lukas shots/usage so the offense can have more flow

@MistaWordz3 ай бұрын
I think the Mavs match up well against both Denver and OKC. Jokic is a matchup problem for just about everybody, but so is Luka. You don't beat Denver by stopping Jokic. You beat them by letting Jokic feast but making sure his teammates don't. This Mavs team looks good enough defensively to probably do a little bit of both though. I see D-Live having future DPOY potential.

@@MistaWordz yea Luka and jokic cancel each other out im just saying specifically jokic's style of play is hard to guard as a big man and with his passing and control of a game ..the good thing about that series is I think Kyrie would absolutely cool that entire team and Luka would put up his usual 30-35...I have a question though ..do you think Luka should go into this season more magic Johnson and try and average 11+ assists with klay or Kobe and still get up his 35???
@MistaWordz3 ай бұрын
@@Lyrunfromda214 I think Luka is good enough to do both. He damn near averaged 34 and 10 last season and he's only getting better. His rebounding numbers might go down slightly due to Lively and Gafford most likely getting better too (as well as the addition of Sharp), but that only means he'll probably have more energy to put into other things like points, assists, and defense.
