This is a great video. Can't wait to see other job related video on the topic, our youth really needs this. Just to add. Sometimes it's ok to be stuck in a dead end job it depends on what your goals are. If your goal is immediate financial stability for your family than take that crappy 1 lakh job and once you achieve that stability start applying to other, more meaningful jobs. When your new company asks you why you left the earlier job tell them that place didn't have any growth.

I also followed STAR method of CV and got calls from Microsoft twice. One nice thing I did was linking the gains in each role with the relevant SDGs. If someone is really keen to apply in European market, then they should stress on the sustainability benefits gained in any project they did. Moreover, Cover Letter is a game changer. Cover Letter should exactly entail your relevant skills(from job description and qualification needed) and the motivation behind choosing this job.

Forexample if you worked in building an application for tracking fish lice count, this means you achieved fish wellness with your automation solution directly contributing to SDG-14(life below water). If possible also mention the statistical figure of value produced.

STAR method means identifying problem situation, your task, the solution u provided, and its result in statistical form. Example: In my role as a Software Engineer with a Finnish Company The company had problems sorting wood logs with their hardware scanners. The job was to debug the hardware scanner if issues exist in its operation. We developed an Augmented Reality based mobile application that augmented the scanner data and project it on to the app. The user can exactly see if the wood logs are moving on conveyor belt from point A to B in the app, and also on the site, this comparison exactly highlights the issue in hardware scanner. Through this solution 90% wood resources in the pipeline were not wasted, hence contributing to SDG-12.

Right now I'm in my final year of medical and trying to find my dream job but have no clue. Bec the society standard is to become clinician and doing specialisation. But really I'm not ready for such commitment of long term hustle as I'm not much passionate about clinical work. On the contrary I'm deeply interested in medical Research. I have extensive connections in this field in pak and in abroad. But the only catch is this is something Dr. do only for promotion and academics.
