I will never forget the 1st time hearing this song as a 16 year old in summer 1991. Me and my mates were camping at the side of a flooded quarry called Eccleston Delph here in North West England. About 3am a load of cars turned up and a van with a huge sub bass unit started pumping this tune out. We had inadvertently attended our 1st rave, and we were all hooked after that and it was the 1st of many. I wish I could go back in time and do it all again.

One of the all time classic's that still gets a fair run through the speakers to this day. I totally understand where he is coming from on the "Once you've come up with something new, its already done" Never a truer statement, music will never have the sound it did and with somewhat over saturated EDM scene, it proves a real challenge for anyone who has been away from the scene for while. I will never forget the first time that I heard the track Dominator on Radio Veronica in the early 90's. I taped the song from the radio with my old Technics casette player. The days after my parents were telling me that the song was terrible to hear, like devils music. I was convinced by myself as a child from 15 years old that Dominator would become a very huge hit. Because it was so different. I told all of my friends about this track and let them hear the track on my casette. And when I came in disco's I asked the local DJ's to play Dominator. Lot's of older local DJ's hated the song and don't like to play it because it was to loud, than I said, play this song and you will see that the audience likes it. That's my short story of Dominator.

What’s the title of that track? And which sample are you taking about exactly? I always do plenty of research before my interviews, I have old music magazines and I check online for info. But please keep in mind that not every little detail can be found online or in books. Especially from the older tracks there’s sometimes hardly any info available, hence I started this channel to find out about how these classics were made. If the people I interview don’t share all info, there’s not much I can do about it. As you can hear in the interview I did ask where the inspiration came from and how the track came about. What else do you want me to do? 😉
