MV Agusta Brutale 1000rr vs Ducati Streetfighter V4S

The styling of the Augusta looks like it is from Akira or Blade Runner. Such a unique and cool bike, it reminds me of Suzuki's B-King.

I love both. I have the SFV4s 2024 (2023) model in grey Nero. I used to ride sport but I’m obsessed with hyper nakeds. Ergos far far better. I enjoy 10+ hour days in the saddle. I live in Ireland though, arguably more comfortable riding . I’d melt where you are.

I agree, With the quick shifter on MV Agusta, you can feel a lag about 10th of a second when you drop a gear in other words you will feel the discontinuation in the rhythm. This is due to the fact that in MV, it cuts the fuel not the ignition ( If my memory serves me right ) but in the Ducati it cuts the ignition.

I’ve ridden both. Both are excellent machines. The look of the Brutale is so unique and eye catching. However I felt more at home on the StreetFighter.

The MV is a bit aggressive in the seating position compared to the sf.

The Brutale is best enjoyed ridden like a 600 with the revs up and the engine screaming. I did a spittake when you said that you were riding it around 3K RPM. When you ride the MV like its supposed to be ridden, their quickshifter works better than the Ducati.

Normal street riding was my point with that. On track absolutely get this bike screaming it loves the revs for sure and the qs works beautifully. But normal riding, like a large majority will do with this bike, the qs is clunky.

Great choice for comparison. The Brutale could definitely be my 2nd bike for when I crave lots of attention. Does the engine overheat in city traffic? The SF gets hot really fast, and the fan never stops until I am back on the open road.

The mv doesn't really get hot at all. It was 100+ that day as well!

The MV looks nicer, the sfv4 looks like the fairings have fallen off, the huge radiators are too obvious, too unfinished - a lot of thought has gone into the look of the MV, prefer the v4 as a power plant.

They're phenomenal. But I've never gotten off of one and thought about it again like I do other bikes... other than the hp4 race.
