LIGHT is the fandom! Go for their Killing Voice next, it gives you a good mix of their songs (both as Highlight and Beast), and would also give you a good idea of where’d you wanna explore next! Fiction is my favorite song by them, and my favorite k pop song of all time-you actually probably know this song, but just don’t know you know it. No one ever reacts to Highlight, so this was so nice to see! Thank you so much!

Watch their music show stages for Body too, they know how to have fun when they perform they are so engaging! The 6th member left before they became Highlight so he's not in the k profile btw. I would recommend their Killing Voice (they were already only four members then) as well as Not The End, their first song after military which was written and produced by Gikwang 💚 And yes he opened for Lady Gaga back when he was a solo artist before BEAST's debut!!! He was the artist she liked the most in the entries for the showcase 😊 Angel face and voice Yoseob was also chosen by a world renowned Korean opera singer, Jo Sumi, to sing with her at her concert in 2013 and a few years later to record a duet together!

So glad to see you two discovering Highlight. They were my formal introduction to kpop way back in 2011. There music while they were promoting as Beast and their music as Highlight is so good and they are highly underrated. One of my all time favorite songs of theirs is called Fiction. Thank you for reacting to Highlight’s music video. Highlight has Gikwang as the group's main producer since 2020, and Yoseob and Dongwoon are also writing songs and releasing albums together! It's really hard to pick a favorite song because they have so many great songs. Among them, there is a song that I've been obsessed with recently, and it's a song called switch on that was performed on a music show with body this time! This song was written and composed by Gi-gwang, and the groove-filled, hip, high-quality choreography centered around the main dancer, Gi-gwang, is crazy! You must see the stage video for this! And They are still popular and iconic in Korea. Many of Light love them same! My favorite meber is just HIGHLIGHT!!!

So, Cube was started by former JYP staff, which is why I think it wound up taking in a bunch of former JYP trainees. I'm pretty sure a few of the 4Minute members were also JYP trainees and Hyuna was in Wonder Girls. Also, Apink's original company was ACube, which was a subsidiary of Cube too... And you HAVE to start from the beginning with BEAST's debut. The combo of Shock and Soom/Breath was amazing.

We are called BEAUTIES before but now we are LIGHTS 🫶 My bias is your chef, Lee Gikwang 🤭 you should checkout his "american dance" 😉 He is called Ace Junior when he debut as a solo singer before they became BEAST. ❤ I love their ballads like OASIS or ON RAINY DAYS 😭🤧 but they are known in their song FICTION and SHOCK. There's more to see from them OMG! I'm excited for this!! As a 2nd gen fangirl this is really hyping me up 🤘

Yey, always happy to see new reactions to Highlight (specially from Belgium like me). I was pulled into the fandom by Lee Gikwang's web drama 20 Years Old and they're still my ult bias group. More than 10 years of love ♥ (Please check his cover of Trouble Maker with Hyunseung, this is priceless) (I say "male" because Taeyeon and the whole group Dreamcatcher are way more love in the house, but... Dongwoon is still there. Him fighting in my heart with G-Dragon)

The group debuted back in 2009 Use to go by the iconic name Beast tho sadly when they had their contract re-newal Cube ent wouldn't let the members keep the group name so 5 out of 6 members left Cube and changed the name to Highlight And that one member that stayed in Cube rarely releases music

Thank you for your reaction. Highlight(beast) is a really great kpop group. They have strong vocal power and great stage performance, which may not be fully shown in the music video. I really recommend everyone to listen to their songs and watch their stages.

Our name is LIGHT but before we were Beauty. I met them in 2012 when they were BEAST/B2ST, i started to like because i saw KIKWANG in a show, he really impacted me a lot in that moment, because he was cute and also clumsy specially when he talked and the best song of them of Beast is FICTION, for the meaning of the song, they got really good things with that song specially a 'SONG OF THE YEAR' in KBS Festival. In the end of 2016 they finished their contract with Cube (Company of 4minute, BEAST, Troublemaker, BTOB, CLC, PENTAGON, G IDLE...). Cube has the rights for the name of the group 'BEAST' and in summer of that year they made their last album as 'BEAST' with the album named 'HIGHLIGHT'. Our maknae Dongwoon suggested to keep 'HIGHLIGHT' as the new group name and they accepted. Now they are CEO's of their own company called 'AROUND US'. In the beginning of the group Junghyung was the producer and writer but after the scandal and the exit of that member, Kikwang grab all the responsabilities for the production/writing of the songs. Their debut song as Highlight is really good, Plz Don't Be Sad. But if I have to recommend something i will say 'ALONE', that song is a really mature comeback giving a really sexy vibe but NOT THE END and Daydream are also my favourites. I also recommend the solo careers of all the member, but specially Kikwang, who is the one with more songs and more concepts, PREDATOR is FIRE!. THANK YOU FOR WATCH OUR BOYS, even after 15 years since their debut they still fighting to give us music, they are amazing.

Yes, they all were on JYP, Dujun was about to be on 2PM and another former member (Hyunseung) was supposed to be on BigBang. And when they left Cube entertainment they changed the name and recently bought the old building of JYP and have their own company there called Around US :) thank you very much for reacting to them, please check their killing voice!

I’m gonna sound old but I was there when BEAST debuted (and alot of other 2nd gen groups too). If you’re a new kpop stan, I’m just gonna tell yall that the power that BEAST had during their early days was incredible. They hit the ground running & was very very popular up until they left Cube Ent. I’m glad people are still finding out about them. Esosa & Ozlem, I highly suggest you guys check out Gikwang’s first ever solo, like back before he was in BEAST. It’s a cringy song 😂 but it’s nostalgic for me.

Since you were on the Highlight profile it didn't show another former member Hyunseung, he left when they were still called BEAST due to personal reasons. He also used to be a 1/2 of Troublemaker. Before joining Cube he was in YG and was supposed to debut as member of Big Bang. Nowadays he goes under the name ABLE and releases solo stuff. He appeared on the show Double Trouble and had some awesome duets with KARD's Jiwoo and Weeekly's Monday. Btw those Kprofiles be trippin with some info cause Gikwang DID smoke XD Unless somewhere down the line he finally saw the light (pun may or may not intended) and stopped and I am just unaware. Also Dongwoon rapper LOL, that is just a joke in the fandom, MC Elephant 😆 We love him for it tho, our maknae. And yes he got married last year! I' so happy for him. He appears on Korean shows a lot. The leader Doojoon is arguably more famous as an actor in Korea since he gets cast in main roles a lot. They used to call him "Nation's Boyfriend" lol. And Yoseob may be smol cutie but he has a powerful voice and can kick ass (he does boxing, like legit). He was in lots of musicals and even sang with a Soprano Diva after she invited him to participate in her shows. Btw if you love Gikwang so much you HAVE to check out his solo debut Dancing Shoes from 2009 because it's iconic and everyone loves to taunt him with it 😂 Cube first made him a soloist and only later he debuted as a member of BEAST. Honestly all of them have solo stuff so it's worth to check them out. Not sure which song you watched from BEAST already but I definitely recommend: Fiction, Good Luck, Breath, Shock, 12:30, Beautiful Night, YeY, Gotta go to work. And as Highlight: Pls Don't Be Sad, Can Be Better, Loved, Not The End, Alone. As others recommended, watching their Killing voice is a great idea, you will get a taste of everything. And DEFINITELY check out this new album, the bsides EAT. Especially Switch On, they performed it live and the DAMN the choreo.

9:03 nope, not yet. He announced it but didn't have yet ☺ • When Cube Entertainment was first established, the only singer(trainee) affiliated with it was Lee Gikwang. GiKwang (main dancer/Rolled Eunho chef from drama). and also Cube's first CEO was JYP's co-CEO since JYP estblished and then when he quit JYP&estblished CUBE he took only 1 trainee that was GIKwang. (Please excuse the story timeline was reversed I realized it after wrote it all😭) *If you guys want to know about HIGHLIGHT more you can search with BEAST(B2ST) because they used to known as BEAST since 2009. even now many people remember/calling them still as Beast too so, HIGHLIGHT is the BEAST, BEAST's now is the HIGHLIGHT.

I’m so happy you found these guys! Nothing quite like the maturity and vocals of 2nd Gen! As others have said, we used to be Beauties and now we’re Light! One member left to do his own thing, which we respect. (Another member we no longer claim after he admitted to watching certain…videos…related to the Burning Sun Scandal. Google if you need to, but it’s VERY not good.) So Highlight is 4, and we love these guys! My Bias is Yoon Dujun (Doojoon), and you should try watching some of his dramas! The first season of Let’s Eat is a delight, but make sure you have lots of food when you watch-or you’ll get hangry!
